Chapter 45: It’s your turn to kneel

"Heloise, I ..."

Lucas felt guilty once again. Although he had a huge family, he couldn't save her from trouble.

"I'll take care of my own business. You owe me a favor to save your life. Pay it back today."

Heloise clapped her hands and stood up from the couch, begging for favors without any semblance of kindness.

Lucas, however, smiled, not angry at all.

He liked Heloise's nature; she was frank, direct, never false.

...

Coral and the crowd waited where they were, while Bena was over there with her hands folded and the words on her lips, "Bless her for not being some sort of the ThankGod's savior. God bless me, God bless me, God bless me."

Everybody was sure that Heloise wasn't.

How could Heloise be Lucas' savior after spending three years in such a shabby, dirty, and awful place as the slums in BlueWolf mountain?

The crowd was speculating when Heloise finally came out over there.

Ben also followed and looked over, hiding himself in the crowd, seeing Heloise walking this way, the embroidered hyacinths on her gown undulating with the hem of her dress, and she looked like a delicate flower in full bloom for a lifetime, beautiful and romantic.

James followed at the side, bending over the whole time, it seemed that he wished he could take the red carpet and lay it on the path Heloise walked.

Seeing this, everyone understood.

It seemed Heloise's words were true.

She really was Mr. ThankGod's savior, and this favor could be great, in this way, if she went to the border, she was able to run rampant.

Heloise sat down on a chair in front of the six-tiered cake tower, in the birthday chair that originally belonged to Coral, which was set up like a princess' throne.

Coral was furious, smashing her Barbie doll and sitting in her seat, shame on her?

Bena and the group of people watched everything, which made them dare not to go forward. Coral was extremely angry, and she could only open her mouth, coldly looking at Heloise, and said, "This is my seat."

Heloise sat on the chair, moving her feet and had been standing for a long time in high heels, then hooked her lips and smiled, lifting her eyes to look at her provocatively, "Yes, it's your seat, but I'm sitting, what can you do with me?"

"You ..."

Coral was furious to death, thinking about it a moment, then turned her head and spoke to James, "James, you mustn't be fooled by her, she's not any kind of Mr. ThankGod's rescuer at all."

James stood aside and coldly looked at Coral, "Miss Brook, are you surer than me about whether Miss ThankGod is Mr. ThankGod 's lifesaver or not? "

"Of course, I'm definitely sure!" Coral exclaimed.

No one knew better than her that Heloise was the daughter adopted by the Brook's family!

An adopted orphan who had defended Coral herself from disasters! A loser who should be waiting to die in the slums!

"Oh?" Heloise leaned back in her birthday chair and looked at her askance with a smile, "So what do you know better?"

"I ..."

Coral surely couldn't tell the truth about the Brook's family's raising a daughter to defend her from the disaster. She held her tongue there for a while, and a long time passed before she said, "You must have done something. Where's the electronic lock in your hand? What did you do to get rid of it? You, filth from the slums, what the hell did you do?"

Heloise sneered, "I've had a mind-blowing experience today, so Councilor Brady Brook's daughter is so rude and rampant."

James saw that Heloise was disgruntled, cold sweat broke out on his face, and he said panicking, "Hold down this babbling female lunatic, and have her at Ms. ThankGod's disposition."

Upon hearing this, two security guards immediately stepped forward and they grabbed Coral's arms from each side and pressed her downward.

Seeing this, Bena was busy retreating to the side for fear of being affected.

Everyone watching the situation also didn't dare to speak.

Coral instantly became anxious, she couldn't care about any elegance, and she desperately struggled but failed, so she could only cry out in a state of distress.

"James, are you out of your mind? How can you believe her? She is a liar! I'm Brady's daughter, and I'm your honored guest!"

"It is ridiculous! Senator Brook is trying to secure sponsorships from various forces, does he dare to offend the ThankGod's?" James coldly said, "What's more, the venue has surveillance as evidence, it's clear who bullied who, that is, if what happened here today reached the Presidential Palace, it's you, Ms. Brook, who is at a disadvantage, isn't it?"

"..."

Coral was dumbfounded.

Suddenly, a loud sound of "bang" was heard.

Bena jumped out and fell on her knees, facing Heloise, her face pale, "Miss ThankGod, I have eyes but fail to recognize you. It's my fault, I'm sorry, it's Coral who forced me to do it like that. Originally, I didn't want to challenge your identity. I apologize to you, I admit my mistake to you."

It was known that Bena's family was even worse than the Brook's family. How could she dare to offend the ThankGod's?

She had really caused a terrible disaster today, and had actually messed with a big shot of the ThankGod's family.

She knelt on the ground, her evening gown pulled taut and in a sorry state, looking at Heloise with fear in her eyes.

"Heh."

Heloise sat lazily and let out a laugh, looking down at Coral with lowered eyes, "Ms. Coral, your friend has given you a good example. Now it's your turn to do it as told."

"Over my dead body! You're not even the ThankGod's benefactor, and you want me to kneel to you? Are you worthy?"

Coral simply couldn't stand this truth.

In her eyes, Heloise had always been trampled to the death under her feet, never dared to disobey her commands before.

Now Heloise was asking her to kneel down to her, which was like forcing her to chip away at her self-respect and pride inch by inch, similar to removing her bones.

She couldn't do it!

Heloise sat there lazily glancing at James.

James immediately made a wink towards the two security guards, who were about to press Coral to kneel down, when they heard a rush of footsteps coming in from outside.

The crowd raised their eyes, and saw Brady Brook, who was dressed in formal attire, leading people into the venue aggressively, forcibly pushing the guests aside and looking forward.

This look led to the sight of Heloise sitting there, languid and self-conscious, in all her splendor.

"..."

Brady was shocked, staring straight at Heloise with wide eyes. It seemed he would swallow her alive.

She was really alive!

He couldn't believe she didn't die in such a harsh environment as the slums! What a tenacious life-blood!

Heloise also looked at him with a smirk.

Heh, her former father, long time no see.

"Dad!"

Coral was escorted and unable to break free, seeing Brady was like seeing a savior, excitedly shouting, "Daddy save me! This bitch wants me to kneel!"

"Who are you calling bitch? This is the great benefactor of the ThankGod's family!"

Then James came up and kicked Coral on the calf. Coral almost knelt down in pain.

He had been instructed by Mr. ThankGod for making sure that he should fully vent the anger of Miss ThankGod today, so he didn't dare to take it as a slight.

Moreover, he guessed that Miss ThankGod 's identity should not be more than that. Lucas was surnamed ThankGod, and so was she. Maybe she herself was the ThankGod's family's golden girl, so he had to be more careful to serve her.

How could he have thought that Heloise took this name just because of a plate of spicy crab?

"Ah..."

Coral screamed in pain and looked at Brady for help.

Only then did Brady take his astonished eyes off Heloise and look at the wretched Coral, and he couldn't help but knit his brows, raising his eyes to James and politely saying, "James, are you? I don't know what my daughter did wrong to cause you to be so angry?"
