A Surprise Gift

Matthew smiled at Sophia and remarked, "I was worried that you couldn't find the red wine the customer asked for, so I came to help you."

Was that his true motive?

Sophia recalled the times that Matthew had said strange words to her and touched her. A sinking feeling filled her stomach.

"There's no need," Sophia said, clutching the red wine in her arms. "I've found it. I'm leaving now."

Sophia quickly walked to the door and turned the knob. However, the door did not open.

Damn it! The door was locked from the inside and the key was gone.

Sophia's heart rose into her throat.

"Sophia, why are you in such a hurry to leave? Why don't you stay and have a chat with me?"

Matthew's disappointed voice came from behind her.

Sophia's hair stood on end and her heart raced.

Sophia struggled to keep her voice calm. "Mr. Matthew, you must be joking. We're supposed to be working, not slacking off here."
