CHAPTER 16: FIRST QUEST, SLAYING SLIMES AND... GOBLIN?

After spending a lot of time in the Library, Haru went out to get some fresh air. There he met Konami. She standing on the corridor while wearing a seductive clotches.

"Sensei, don't you feel cold? That kind of clotch shouldn't be wore outside. It's kinda inappropriate."

"Haru, am I a nuisance in this party?"

"What?"

"I mean, my magic power is low. I have low physical stats. I don't know any martial arts and when you were gone I can't do anything. I'm pathetic as a teacher." Konami says.

"Well, I can't deny that but surely you will find what you can do sensei. Just don't give up."

"It's easy for you to say. You have an overwhelming potentional. And look, your ability just got upgraded." She say while handling Haru the skill book. Haru take a look at it and it seems that his dragon form is upgraded. It has become an Arcane Dragon. Written below it is 'Evolved after getting hit by [ARCANE DESTROYER]'.

"Well, that's interesting! Never thought it would evolve after that hit. Pretty easy if you ask me."

"See? No need to talk about those two siblings. Even you has more power than me. As the teacher I'm the one who supposed to protect you but look at me! I'm the one who ended up being protected instead. I'm a failure as a teacher." Konami says. She then walk away from there. But, as she were about get inside Haru holds her hand.

"Oh, Haru! What's wrong?"

"Sensei, if it wasn't for you I will not be here. I would choose to abandoned myself in that abyss but you changed me. If you didn't stand up for me that day then I would choose to die if I was the former me. Maybe you didn't remember but even before we came to this world, even before I enter high school, we already met each other. It was when I'm in the kindergarten. That day was a day after my mother death. I'm depressed. That day I thought of jumping to death. I can't live without my mother. As I walking to my house alone, I bumped to you. You were a high schooler at that time. After that, you asked me if I'm fine and asked me if I'm alone and lost. You grab my hands and holds it gently as you walk me home after asking the people around us. Your soft and gentle hand remind me of my late mother. You gave me a reason to live."

"Wait, you telling me that you are the kid at that time?"

"Wait, you remember?"

"Of course I do! That's also a memorable moment for me. After passing through the kindergarten I saw the teacher working very hard for their student. After that day, I devoted myself to teaching. I wanted to be a teacher. I kinda remember you but I forgot the name."

"Here I thought that I'm the only one who remembers it."

"That's actually very funny if you thinks abou it. But, wait you were thinking about killing yourself when you were just a kindergartener? Mind explaining that to me? That's sound serious and worrying." She said with a soft voice.

"Long story sensei. Long story. But well, that's the past. Let's focus on the future shall we?"

Around another corner, the two elf is watching silently.

"See? I told you that she is going the our master's woman. She just need a little push!" Says Luna seriously.

"But, master himself said that she is only his teacher." Said Kiara.

"Oh, come on! Haven't you heard about the forbidden relationship between a student and a teacher? I've been reading that kind of book lately. Most of them are juicy! Especially the one that has a woman as the teacher. That's one is lit! Especially the scene where the teacher and the student were trapped inside a dungeon room and then the teacher slowly unbutton her shirt and..." Then Luna start to tell Kiara about the whole book that she read.

"What kind of book have you been reading lately? I'm actually really worried and that's for real."

After some preparation, they sets to the said forest in the quest. Just like Luna says. It take days to reach the river. In three day, they finally reach the destination. Just like what written in the quest. There's a lot if slime in the river.

"Wait, kids actually went to play here? Isn't that like three day journey?" Haru ask.

"Actually, this is the place where the slime breeds. The current of the river that brings the slime to the river near the town. So it's dangerous for the children. Some time, you can't trust what written in the quest blindly." Kiara replies.

"Isn't that a scam? How can the guild allow it?" Konami ask.

"Well, only A and S rank quest will be given from the guild directly. Meanwhile, lower rank quest will shown at the quest board and the guild doesn't usually double check it. They only approve it once and that's it." Luna replies.

"Sounds like a black company. Oh, no! My bad memory is coming back." Konami while being hugged by Haru when she almost fall.

"What's a black company?" Kiara ask.

"It's complicated. So don't ask." Haru reply.

Once Konami calm down, they prepared to attack the slime. Luna and will not participated. Only Haru and Konami. First, Haru will rush in and cast [ABYSS FLAME] and Konami will will strike another remaining slime.

All is according to the plan. As Haru ambush he quickly cast [ABYSS FLAME]. But, instead of destroying a bunch of slime he burn the whole generation instead. He shocked.

"Well, that already been expected since the fight againts that hobgoblin. Plus, your skills allow you to grow stronger literally everyday without doing anything. So, that's fair I guess?"

Kiara said.

"This is not fun. At all."

"How about me? I don't have that kind of ability!" Said Konami while crying.

Suddenly, there's a goblin that jumps from the nearby bushes. Seems like he has been waiting there for a while. His aim is Konami since she has an attractive and seducing figure. It looks at Konami with a perverted eyes. As the goblin about to land a hit. Haru quickly react and punch that goblin on the face. The goblin were literally sent flying across the sky.

"Umm... Sorry I guess?"

"Actually, let's go dive in the dungeon straight away. You are more than ready." Luna said.
