CHAPTER 20: THE TRUTH

"Don't talk like you don't know what happening, Haru! What are you doing out here aren't you supposed to be dead. Why did you sent a letter to me last night?" Hamagawa ask. He sounds mad. Haru glances at him while smiling.

"I only ask you to come. Why did you bring two other? The princess? And your new girlfriend? Seriously?" Haru ask.

"Miyu isn't my girlfriend. And the moment you sent the letter is when I and princess is having a conversation. Miyu come because she overheard our conversation." Hamagawa explain.

"I don't care about that. It won't hurt for some people knowing I still alive. I summon you here for some reason." Haru says.

"What is it?" Hamagawa ask in a mad voice.

"Tell the king, Nishitani Haru is still alive. And I'm the opposer." Haru says.

"What? Are you out of your mind?! Do you want to die that much?! And you the opposer?! Do you know that I have to ki-"

"I'm aware of that. You're going to tell the king that you got this information from someone that knows about me. Can you do that much?" Haru ask.

"What are you planning?" Hamagawa ask. Haru just give him a simple smile.

"You know what?! I'm done! I'll do as you ask but don't blame me for it. I've warned you. I don't know what are you planning but I'm sure it's going to backfire." Hamagawa then leaves the room together with the princess. But Miyu stays.

"Nishitani, are you aware of what happening to Kanasawa now?" Miyu ask. Haru look at her. He then smile again.

"I do. I always do."

"Then, why did you just let her be? Why don't at least show up for a while to ease her mind?"

"I can't. Not now. If I meet her now my plan would be ruined."

"You care about your plan more than her? Aren't both of you childhood friends?"

"I know. I actually really want to meet her too but If I did my plan would be ruined. I can't tell you why but it is what it is."

"Unbelievable. Just like Ronin say, you are crazy."

"How about you? I thought you already became his girlfriend. What happen?" Haru ask. Miyu stay silent for a while then she start talking.

"I've given that up. There's no chance for me. He only see me as a childhood friend. Nothing more nothing less."

"Why is that? Weren't you head over heels for him?"

"I do. But, even after everything I try he will never open his heart for me. It's just sad. I ask myself, what is all this for? I got nothing. Now, he became very close with the princess. All of my chances are gone. So, I decided to give up."

"That's actually a good decision. Try more and it will break your heart."

"I guess that's it. I'll take my leave now." As she walk towards the door, she stopped for a seconds.

"Oh, I actually came here with a massage. I guess you know who. She ask me to tell you that she is pregnant. Another problem for you I guess." She then leave the room.

"Oh, come on!" Haru grunts.

"Well, I can't help it. I live with the problem after all." He step out of the room. There, Luna is waiting.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"What is it?"

"Why you can't meet this Mio before your plan succeed?" Luna ask. Haru sigh before he answer.

"She will hinder my plan."

"Is that so? I guess that important. Shall we move out now?"

"Yes, we should." Haru and his party then proceed to make a move to another dungeon. The dungeon that they are going to explore this time were rumoured to be a tomb of a very huge dragon. However, the dragon body has never been found. It is also rumoured that this dragon is as old as the universe. But, it should be dead right? So, why is the dragon has same age as the universe? That's the mystery that hasn't been unfolded. Before make their way to the said dungeon they first visit a chapel.

"Why are we here?" Haru ask.

"To recruit a healer. You guys need it." Kiara reply.

"Since my lord is good at close combat you really need a supporter at the rear. But, your la- teacher only good at offensive magic. So, here we are. Don't worry. We already discuss this matter with the pope. We are here to pick up the person." Luna explain.

As they reach the chapel, a girl can be seen standing at the gate while holding a long staff. The girl saw Kiara and Luna. She then rushes towards them.

"Greetings, I'm Mary. The priest that the pope send to help you. Is this the person that need my assistance? By the name of Goddess Maria I will give it my all." Said Mary.

"Thank you, well since everything is done we problaly need to move now. Need to find a carriage that going on the same direction as us." Haru say.

"Oh, don't worry. The pope has already got the carriage ready. I hope you know how to drive it because me myself rarely go outside." Mary say.

"Leave that matter to us." Kiara and Luna say at the same time.

They then hop into the carriage. Their journey then begin.

On the road to the dungeon, inside the carriage.

"Excuse me, are you a noble?" Mary ask Haru while laying on Haru's lap.

"Erm... Actually, no! I'm not."

"Then why did those two refers you as 'my lord'?"

"It's complicated. I rather not explaining though."

"I see..."

On another corner, Konami can be seen snuggling herself.

"Sensei, are you still having 'horse carriage sick'?" Haru ask.

"Yes, please leave me alone for a while." Konami reply. Haru sigh.

"Why are you laying on my lap?"

"It's comfortable. Your lap is warm. Like a mother. Are you married?"

"No. Hey, you know what you kinda remind me to someone."

"Who is that?"

"A friend of mine. She would sit on my lap when there's a chance."

"Where is this friend of your now?"

"She's not here. I can't meet her right now."

"Why?" Mary ask. Haru look at her. He smile and pat her head.

"Sometime, something is better to be unknown."
