Main World, Western Plains
Deep underground beneath a glamorous city was a large cave the size of many football fields. At the centre of the cave was a large obsidian altar many metres long and wide.
The obsidian altar rippled with strong energies that threatened to tear the very fabric of space and time and apart. Above the altar was a humanoid figure covered entirely with blood.
The blood oozed strongly that the smell filled the entire cave and any person that entered would immediately die of suffocation. The humanoid figure radiated a strong sense of oppression that made it feel like someone was staring at a great sea of blood and they could drown at any moment.
Great azure chains rose from the sides of the obsidian altar, binding the humanoid figure firmly. Golden divine runes floated around the azure chains that carried the dao of fire and destruction. Merely being touched by them meant death, after all, they were the chains of the Azure Divine Cauldron. Even paramount gods feared it and avoided it at all costs.
However, the humanoid figure seemed to be growing due to the azure chains and the thick blood that bathed it even thickened that it became unbearable for any person.
As the chains of the Azure Divine Cauldron wrapped the figure, great pink flames that carried the truest essence of fire path and soul path combusted on its body, charring the thick blood that covered it.
Time passed slowly.
After a long while, the pink flames subsided and the azure chains returned into the obsidian altar. The blood that covered the humanoid figure slowly shrunk into its body to reveal its true appearance.
It was like a demon that stood many metres tall with two curved horns that jutted from its forehead. Strong scales covered its entire body and sharp spikes extended from its shoulders, elbows and knees. Its purple eyes were filled with immense bloodlust.
A bright light shined and when it subsided, the demon had turned into someone else entirely. He had long flowing silver hair and emerald pupils that glistened with intellect. He was Lin Feng.
"At long last, I have successfully merged my body with Reverend Divine Prime Jade's avatar that replicates the physical strength of the Regal Bloodlines. Now, I can roam the world fully without fear!"
…..
Lu Zheng flew through the sky unhurriedly as a black trail of light flowed from his body. His figure was completely concealed that it was impossible to even look at him directly and any attempts to soul search him was completely futile.
Despite the trail of black light behind him, he was completely invisible even to experts far above his cultivation base.
A great distance from his was a beautiful female with a well-shaped body that had the right curves in the right places. Her beautiful face was knotted with awe as she gazed at Lu Zheng.
Her Sea of Consciousness spread out in all directions and her view of the world transcended a plane far beyond the grasps of mere mortals. When she gazed at Lu Zheng, it was like a black trail of light was constantly flowing from his body that seemed to merge perfectly with the natural environment.
Although it was odd, her brain seemed to ignore it naturally like it was an everyday matter. Meanwhile, in her Sea of Consciousness, it was like Lu Zheng did not even exist even though she could see him right before her.
"So this is a soul path martial practitioner…" Zuo Xiuzhen muttered as she increased her pace. Even as she did so, she found it hard to catch up with Lu Zheng.
"This speed…" Zuo Xiuzhen could not understand why a soul path martial practitioner was so fast. Even at her full speed, Lu Zheng easily left her in the dust.
If she knew that Lu Zheng was only moving at a casual speed, she might faint from perplexing.
"We're here" Lu Zheng said as he slowly descended to the ground. Right beneath him was an extensive stretch of grass that left Reserve Parks on Earth in the dust.
A shimmering river cut through the field, rushing on softly like a shiny trail of white. The river was extremely clear to the extent that if it did not make a sound, people would not even notice its existence.
"Be careful, this place… is very dangerous" Lu Zheng warned as Zuo Xiuzhen landed by his side.
"Hmm" Zuo Xiuzhen nodded as she released her Sea of Consciousness. The beautiful field before her had many diverse trees and plants of different colours. Most of the plants were alive and could easily kill Void Passage realm experts with a single bite.
"What are we even doing here?" Zuo Xiuzhen nagged. She felt it extremely odd for Void Passage realm experts to come to such a dangerous place.
Lu Zheng shook his head: "There is something here that is important to me. Besides, I never forced you to come"
Zuo Xiuzhen rolled her eyes. Typical men, they would have such a beauty by their side and pretend to not even sense her existence.
Wherever she went, she was the centre of attraction. No man had never acknowledged her beauty before.
However, Lu Zheng's indifferent gaze was like he was looking at a simple piece of jewellery that he had seen every other day of his life.
For some reason, it made her very angry.
"Come on, let's move. My next fight is in a few hours' time and I don't plan to miss it"
