Chapter 173: Wind Moon City

Western Plains was a large expanse of land filled with many wood path dao imprints. It was because of this that there were little uprisings and mountains compared to any other region.

Because of this, Western Plainsmen lived in cities and only travelled in caravans. The beasts that roamed Western Plains were too dangerous for even Sky realm experts to roam alone.

Among these many cities was Wind Moon City which was controlled by Stellar Hall, a vassal force of Heijiao Palace.

Ethan walked into Wind Moon City. His gaze was dark and his eyes were red from rage. A strong killing intent flowed from him that made everyone avoid him naturally.

Despite his anger, Ethan was extremely troubled. His mind churned with thoughts over how he could avoid his coming problem.

"Hall Master" Ethan bowed deeply to the old man before him. The man was bald and had long flowing white beard. His skin was wrinkled by his eyes and his back was crooked.

However, Ethan knew better than to disrespect the man before him. The man was at the second tier of Acquisition realm and could easily lift an entire building on his own. Void Passage realm experts like Ethan could only revere the man.

"Ah? Ethan, I trust you've returned successfully as usual. Huh? Where is the rest of your team?" The Hall Master stroke his beard with one hand and clasped the other behind him.

Ethan gritted his teeth and was short of words: "They died in battle!"

"Hmm!" The Hall Master was stunned. After a short moment, he regained his composure and gazed at Ethan. "You should report this directly to Lord Tyreece"

Ethan's body shook as he gazed at the grand doors across the room. His features paled in premonition of what would happen next.

"Lord Tyreece" Ethan kowtowed with respect before the man before him.

Tyreece was a large man with bronze like skin. He wore only trousers, displaying his intricately stacked muscles as many naked women played naughtily with him.

"Ethan, you've returned. Did you complete the task?" Tyreece asked casually as he busied himself with one of the women.

"I… I failed" Ethan stammered with his head still on the ground. He did not dare to look at Tyreece.

"You failed? Get up" Tyreece said.

"I do not dare to" Ethan's voice was shaky.

"I said get up!" Tyreece was firm. Ethan felt an invisible force lift him from the ground till he was on his feet. His gaze fell directly on Tyreece.

"How many people did you take?" Tyreece asked as he clasped his palms. His gaze was unbelievably cold.

"Thirteen"

"And you still failed?" Tyreece was adept at controlling his emotions. "I do not believe Qing Shou Jian's Moon Lake Squad is that strong. Who interfered in the internal squabble of Heijiao Palace?"

"He is a Void Passage realm expert of the Vermillion Bird Race. His name is Lu Zheng and he killed everyone in my team" Ethan subconsciously bowed his head as he spoke.

"Damn it!" Tyreece slapped the butt of one of the women in anger, leaving a red handprint on it as it jiggled. "You're lucky to find me in a good mood today. Get me this Lu Zheng, dead or alive. If you fail, losing your position as Commander would be the least of your worries"

"Yes, my lord!" Ethan bowed before swiftly leaving the room.

Tyreece's eyebrows creased as he returned to playing with the butt-cheek he had just slapped: "What fool dares to hinder me from becoming the First Internal Elder?! I will kill him and cut off his legs, all three of them!"

…..

Completely ignorant of the discussion between Ethan and Tyreece, Lu Zheng settled down in his room. His pupils glistened as he gazed at a piece of sacred nectar.

"Now, I only need a few blood path and soul path materials to reincarnate Houyan Meili. The only problem at hand now is to enter the Gate of Life and Death"

Lu Zheng let out a sigh before clearing his mind of all distractions. After cultivating for two hours, he decided to take a well-deserved nap. He needed to be at his best for his next match.
