Chapter 192: I Do Not Wish To Be An Artificer

"He eventually won it, huh?" Yu Hong Mei felt bitter but couldn't argue. The Four Artificer Elders had devoted their lives to refinement and would never lie about anything concerning it.

For them to announce Lu Zheng as the Child of Aptitude, it meant that he was a better artificer.

After Lu Zheng received his rewards, Burning Ash Demonness decided to personally meet him for a transaction.

The Four Artificer Elders flew towards Lu Zheng who was already speaking with Zuo Xiuzhen.

"Child of Aptitude, the time has come for you to choose which one of us you would want as your master" An Jia smiled brightly at the man.

"We Four Artificer Elders are four of the Seven Great Elders of Blacksteel Association and are all Great Grandmaster artificers. Even if you are a Grandmaster artificer, there is still much that we can teach you" Old Zu said.

"Hmm. We Four Artificer Elders have taught numbers of Children of Aptitude, some with even greater talents than you. It would be your blessing to have one of us as your master" Old Fang added.

Just as Di Wei was about to say his own line, Lu Zheng chuckled: "What makes you think that I am interested in becoming a better artificer?"

"What do you mean?" Di Wei furrowed his eyebrows. He had never seen a person speak to him like this. Even amongst Blacksteel Ancestor's direct disciples, Burning Ash Demonness was the only one that was rude to him. Yet, even she knew to respect the Four Artificer Elders at due time.

"It is simple. I do not wish to become an artificer" Lu Zheng smiled.

"But, you won the competition…" Old Fang was at a loss for words. This was the first time that someone had refused to claim the blessing of being the disciple of one of the Seven Great Elders.

"Hmm. I accept that I won and that I am Blacksteel Association's Child of Aptitude. Still, it would be better if you four sought another person to become your disciple" Lu Zheng said smoothly.

Zuo Xiuzhen was bewildered. She wondered if Lu Zheng had even the smallest idea of who he was speaking with.

"These are the Four Artificer Elders!" Zuo Xiuzhen wanted to grab Lu Zheng's throat and force him into accepting them as his master.

"It is okay. I will still be your Child of Aptitude and even show up every once in a while. However, do not even begin to dream that I will spend my time in a refinement room for the rest of my life" Lu Zheng's tone was adamant.

The four men before Lu Zheng were dumbfounded that they felt like instant-killing the man before them. If it wasn't that he was the Child of Aptitude and had great talents, they wouldn't have refused teaching him a good lesson.

"But…" Old Fang was about to speak when Burning Ash Demonness suddenly interrupted him from nowhere.

"It is fine. We can't force anyone into joining our Blacksteel Association. Who was the second best after him?" Burning Ash Demonness said as she walked into their midst.

"The female beastman" An Jian replied.

"Good, choose her as your disciple or whatever. I want to speak with this man" Burning Ash Demonness' words were filled with authority that none of the Four Artificer Elders was able to refute her.

Burning Ash Demonness walked away with Lu Zheng and a stunned Zuo Xiuzhen that felt like the world itself had already flipped itself over.

An Jian clicked his tongue: "This Child of Aptitude… he is very rude"

"Even still, his talent cannot be denied. To think that such talent would be wasted as a martial warrior" Di Wei shook his head. "Let's go speak with this female beastman, I believe her name is Yu Hong Mei"

"Hmm…"
