Su Haoran sipped his tea calmly as he spoke with the man before him.
The man had red skin and faint fire Qi burnt around his body. He was Ye Bai Er, the same man Lu Zheng had defeated during his last fight.
He had just fully recovered from the injuries he sustained from Lu Zheng and Su Haoran immediately sought him out.
"I failed" Ye Bai Er slumped his shoulders.
"Hmm" Su Haoran finished the tea. "It is only natural. Lu Zheng is my only rival so it is only natural for his battle strength to be unbelievable. My Su Clan is magnanimous and does not hold grudges. As per our deal, you will keep the Dragon Breath Immortal Flame. What I came here for is another matter entirely"
Ye Bai Er became curious: "What is it?"
"Your Deep Fragrance Qi Tea is very good and my Su Clan enjoys it very much. I have come to offer you a position in my Su Clan" Su Haoran was blunt.
"A position in your Su Clan? Why me?!" Ye Bai Er was stunned. Su Clan was a super Clan comparable to Provinces and held great battle strength. In Central Continent, they held a very high position.
Ye Bai Er did not believe that he would catch their attention at all.
"My Su Clan cultivates information path. Our depth in information path is not something anybody can simply comprehend. We have techniques that can easily glimpse at a person's talent and potential and we have seen yours" Su Haoran smiled. "Besides, did you think I would easily waste an Immortal Flame because of a rivalry?"
Ye Bai Er was shocked beyond speech. He did not even know what to say.
"But, I am not from your human race" Ye Bai Er added.
Central Continent was divided into three segments; the Sovereign of Thirteen States, the Black Feather Empire and the White Feather Kingdom. The Demon Abyss separated the Sovereign of Thirteen States from the Black Feather Empire which was beside the White Feather Kingdom.
The Sovereign of Thirteen States was a haven for the human race and it was rare to find those from other races there. Over time, people developed the conception that other races were not allowed in the Sovereign of Thirteen States.
He was from the Infernal Fiend Race and was completely different from a human. Ye Bai Er did not believe that he would fit in.
"My Su Clan is not racist. We would not ostracise anyone other than the Four Regal Bloodlines" Su Haoran replied.
Ye Bai Er took a deep breath. He was finally convinced.
"When do we leave for Central Continent?" Ye Bai Er asked.
"Today, after Lu Zheng's match" Su Haoran nodded.
…..
Lu Zheng stood solemnly as he gazed at the man that stood opposite him on the arena. The man had blond hair and thin lips, his body seemed to be made of thin air even though Lu Zheng could perfectly see him.
Three beast phantoms surrounded the man. One was a great bear that was many metres tall with fur like snow. The other was a fox like beast with six legs and two tails. Its thin legs moved like the wind and when it ran, its red fur seemed to blend perfectly with the space around it.
The third beast was like a mix of a scorpion and centipede with scales like obsidian jade and pincers that could snap buildings in half. Its tail curved downwards with a deadly stinger. It was a sword spike jedi.
The sharp gazes of the three beasts were locked on Lu Zheng like he was their mortal enemy.
"What is it, Lu Zheng? Do you not dare attack me?" The blond man chuckled as the three beasts surrounded him, not leaving a gap unprotected.
"Justin" Lu Zheng's dark pupils glistened eerily. The man was at the first tier of Acquisition realm and had great battle strength, even as a phantom path martial practitioner.
Lu Zheng did not dare to be careless.
"Go!" Justin smiled.
The great bear phantom and the six-legged fox phantom moved at Justin's command and approached Lu Zheng.
The six-legged fox phantom was exceedingly fast and its red fur became red streaks of light that were difficult to see.
~Even if I can't see you, you can't escape my Sea of Consciousness~
Lu Zheng's thoughts shifted and wind blades descended on a random space.
When the dust settled, the red fox appeared again, perfectly unscathed.
The great bear appeared before Lu Zheng, ready to strike him but Lu Zheng had already sensed him. His black hair fluttered in the air as he sidestepped the beast before punching it in the back.
"Boom!"
