Chapter 213: Who is More Inclined to Win?

Amongst the spectators, two men sat quietly. They didn't seem to be disturbed by the constant cheering of the Western Plainsmen.

One of the men was completely bald with a deep scar that ran across his left cheek. His voice was calm as he spoke: "Friend Six, do you think the young master can win?"

The man who was referred to as Six had a thin body build and short spiky red hair. His eyebrows were sharp and he seemed like a man who had seen the vicissitudes of life.

"Old Nine, this Lu Zheng is quite powerful. Since he joined this tournament, he has only lost once and even then, he was paid to concede. Now that he has broken through to the Acquisition realm, his battle strength must have skyrocketed" Six said after thinking for a while.

"Do you mean the young master is on the losing side?" Old Nine gazed at his friend.

"No. The young master has been honing his strength since he returned to Central Continent. He even has the rank six Immortal Grade weapon, Skybreaker. He is more inclined to win" Six replied.

"Hmm" Old Nine nodded in agreement.

Somewhere else, Qing Shou Jian and the rest of the Moon Lake Squad conversed spiritedly.

"Commander, are we still going to bet on Brother Lu?" One of the males asked with concern.

"Yeah, this Su Haoran is very powerful. Besides, he has the advantage in cultivation base" Another male added.

"Look at you guys. All the wealth that you have now, who provided it? But, I won't force you guys to bet. Just don't come crying when you see how much I earn" Qing Shou Jian spoke with passion like an addicted gambler. Without much hesitation, he placed his bet.

Doecii also placed her bet on Lu Zheng after some deliberation.

"Commander is right. These Central Continent martial practitioners are most likely betting on Su Haoran. You know this is a challenge match, the return ratio will only be decided by how many bets each fighter has"

Doecii was a beautiful female and her words easily roused the men of Moon Lake Squad. Most proceeded to bet on Lu Zheng but some decided to bet on Su Haoran.

Meanwhile, on the arena, Lu Zheng transmitted his voice to Su Haoran: "I want to change our previous agreement"

Su Haoran was surprised to hear Lu Zheng's words but in the end, he replied: "Continue"

"Adding to our previous agreement of twenty thousand Battle Points to the winner, I also want you to add a debt of one favour" Lu Zheng transmitted again.

"A debt of one favour?" Su Haoran repeated. Previously, when he challenged Lu Zheng, they had agreed that the loser had to pay the winner twenty thousand Battle Points. Now, Lu Zheng wanted to add to the conditions.

"Okay, I have no problems with that" Su Haoran agreed. He was confident in his abilities to beat Lu Zheng to a pulp so it did not matter what the agreements were.

Coincidentally, the female in charge of the match had just finished her countdown.

Su Haoran retrieved Skybreaker as a translucent golden pearl formed in his right palm. Under his control, the pearl transformed into a golden arrow.

A small string made of metal Qi was stretched by the arrow as Su Haoran focused it on Lu Zheng.

Instantly, Lu Zheng felt a sensation that a primordial beast was staring at him and that his life was no longer in his own control. He felt that allowing the arrow pierce him was the best way to avoid the feeling.

Lu Zheng's host soul shuddered and Lu Zheng fell out of the trance. The arrow was already millimetres from his face.

"Swish!"

The arrow flew past as Lu Zheng spatial skipped out of its way. Despite its unbelievable speed, the arrow turned immediately and faced Lu Zheng.

At the same time, Su Haoran notched another arrow from Skybreaker.

Lu Zheng snorted as strong wind Essence spiralled from his meridians. A thick white wave of incredibly sharp winds formed above Lu Zheng before cutting down at the golden arrow.

Without the slightest of resistances, the arrow was cut into two halves. The front half continued to cut towards Lu Zheng. The second arrow was still flying towards Lu Zheng with great speed.

Su Haoran notched a third arrow.

Great pressure mounted on Lu Zheng but he did not crumble under the pressure. A strong layer of wind and thunder rippled outwards invisibly and the three arrows imploded into nothingness.

"Hmph!" Su Haoran snorted as his battle intent surged. Three arrows formed in his hands as he notched them.

"Xiu! Xiu! Xiu!"

The three arrows flew with deadly accuracy towards Lu Zheng. Su Haoran had already marked his life aura.
