Chapter 277: Strength Path Suppression

On a certain spatial formation, hundreds of people of both genders stood as they gawked at their immediate surroundings.

Hundreds of towers that pierced through the sky lined up before them in a breath taking sight.

These people all resembled humans in every possible way except for the uniform vertical slits in the space above the centre of their eyebrows. This vertical slit was closed, hiding a third eye from the world. It was the Changshou Tong Race.

A man drew in a deep breath as the vertical slit on his forehead parted to reveal a red eye with three black rings, each with different patterns that were yet so similar. An expression of surprise soon formed on his face.

Another female also revealed her third eye which was green in colour with three black rings. Two of the rings were designed differently with intricate patterns. Unlike the previous man, a puzzled expression appeared on her face.

"What do you see, Makato?" The female whose name was Aimi asked.

Makato closed his third eye and turned to Aimi and smiled faintly: "Aimi, we are not alone here"

Aimi raised her eyebrows as she looked in the direction Makato was facing before but eventually, she was unable to speak.

…..

Lu Zheng worked together with An Yin, Cangxiang Zihan and the others to kill a strong rank eight beast. After some rounds of fighting, the beast eventually died.

"Who would have expected so many beasts to be in this place" Cangxiang Zihan said as he panted heavily.

"At this rate, we might not make it to the nearest tower with our lives intact" Yi Tong Qu added in agreement.

After they all reached the inheritance space, Gu Clan, Xiong Clan and Dong Clan decided to go their separate ways. Only the Yi clansmen and Alaka'i decided to move with Lu Zheng's group.

Lu Zheng looked in the direction of the nearest tower that was almost a thousand metres away. It was six hundred metres tall and from its appearance, it seemed to contain a strength path incomplete inheritance.

Amongst all of them, only Zheng Lie and Yu Er Dan were strength path experts.

"We should be able to make it" Lu Zheng voiced out his opinion which sounded like an angelic herald to both Yu Er Dan and Zheng Lie.

"And what about the others? Those we haven't met yet?" An Yin asked.

Lu Zheng's Sea of Consciousness spread out in a certain direction and by compressing space, he could barely sense the positions of the Changshou Tong Race.

"They're far from us" Lu Zheng replied honestly. "They might be doing the same thing as us"

An Yin heard him and nodded. There seemed to be no problems for now.

After a very arduous period of walking, Lu Zheng and the others finally reached the base of the tower.

"We made it" Yu Er Dan's mood was particularly joyful as she gazed at the structure before them.

This tower was made of obsidian jade tiles with different whitish lines designing it. An ancient aura permeated from the tower which would require fifty large men holding hands to completely surround it. Just by looking at it, one could tell it was of strength path without much thinking.

~This must be the same method Byron converses with us with~

"Let us go in then" Lu Zheng said as he clasped his palms together. Throughout their entire time in Reverend Divine Prime Jade's aperture fragment, Lu Zheng and An Yin's positions in the group had changed subconsciously in everyone's hearts.

"Okay" Zheng Lie was the fastest to move in but it was expected. He was a lone martial practitioner after all.

Even though they were not strength path experts, everyone still went in. They knew very little about the inheritance space and felt this tower could be an eye opener for them.

~What is this gravity?!~

The moment Lu Zheng and the others entered the tower, a heavy burden suddenly seemed to have fallen on their shoulders and yet, an endless flight of stairs laid out before them.

~No, this isn't simply gravity. This is the effect of a strength path technique~

Lu Zheng's mind shifted quickly as he took the first step. The strength path dao imprints that were engraved in the stairs and walls of the tower were pushing down on their bodies.

Any Void Passage realm expert would have been crushed into a pulp the moment they entered.
