Chapter 302: Danna Chaotic Fruit

At the same time, Aimi's pocket space cracked open and numerous flying skulls flew out of it. The flying skulls did not attack wantonly. Makato had refined their scattered thoughts into a single will with the Spectral Spark Flame.

The flying skulls hovered above the formation as grey matter flowed from their orifices. The grey matter flowed silently from all the flying skulls into the corners of the formation.

Slowly, the flying skulls were expended and they became lifeless objects that fell to the ground. They were now completely useless and could only serve as ornaments.

Kyosuke ensured to store the flying skulls. Even if they were useless, they were still connections to their Progenitor.

The formation shook dimly and sounds like ringing bells could be heard. After ten rings, the formation crashed like a waterfall and the crude heart began to beat profusely.

Chaos energy that filled the entire labyrinth seeped from the tunnel walls and flowed into the crude heart. Kumiko's face paled greatly as the golden runes that had formed in her hands faltered.

The chaos energy was too much for her to bear.

"Chiemi" Kyosuke noticed the change and called.

"Hmm" Chiemi already understood what to do. She stopped producing soul screams and walked towards Kumiko, placing her hands on her back.

Soul energy flowed like faint streams of light into Kumiko's body and her face regained its natural colour. The golden runes shined brightly once more.

The space around Makato and the others became strange but they could not see it. If another person was to stand away from them and watched, the person would be stunned by the sight.

It was like they were surrounded by a capsule of darkness that turned and rolled eerily around their bodies. Light shined brightly around them as the chaos energy gathered but it could not penetrate the capsule of darkness.

If it was not that the crude heart was gathering all the chaos energy into itself, they would have died long ago.

Moments passed as the chaos energy was absorbed by the crude heart. The walls of the tunnels shook and cracked as the chaos energy left them. It was the source of their maintenance and without it, they could not stand.

Soon, all the chaos energy was absorbed by the crude heart and a dim explosion-like sound spread through the entire tunnel. Everyone that was still alive was shocked by the sound that dissipated as soon as it came.

The very next moment, the tunnel walls crashed and fell like raining boulders that threatened to kill everyone inside the labyrinth. Makato and the others did not care. Their gazes were fixated on something else… something precious to them alone.

Kyosuke's gaze was profound: "The Danna Chaotic Fruit"

…..

The tunnel walls crashed heavily and light seeped into the place. Yet, Makato and the others were not flustered. They did not need to. Makato had already formed a large barrier around everyone to protect them.

Instead, they trained their gazes on the plant before them.

The plant was green and was like thorny vines that sprouted from the ground where the crude heart once was. It was weird to the touch that if a person was to hold it in their hands, it would feel like they were rubbing their hands against oil and water at the same time.

The vines stretched to a height and at the very peak hung a single fruit. It was pure white and radiated a faint brightness like a ball of light. It was not very large, the size of an adult's clenched fist.

Even though it was pure white, Makato and the others knew better. The fruit contained dense chaos energy that merely touching it would kill a person instantly.

Only Venerables and Reverends could withstand it. This was why it was called the Danna Chaotic Fruit.

"Kumiko, how long do you need to harvest the Danna Chaotic Fruit?" Kyosuke asked Kumiko. It was already obvious that he was their leader.

"An hour if I am not disturbed. Why?"

"Because… it seems we have guests" Kyosuke smiled as he turned.

Makato and the others followed his movements and were surprised. The few people that had survived the flying skulls and the crashing tunnels had already surrounded them. Their countenances were very ugly.
