Elderly Rose

I sniff a perfume,

The smell of roses hits my room.

The scent is so strong; all is silent and still,

But the smell of a rose stings my nose.

.

Grandma, nature flows through you,

I smell nothing but the perfume.

Does Grandpa miss me?

He has not been around recently.

.

The Rose's aroma hits my nose,

It comes and goes,

Grandma joins the scene,

Mother nature grants her a consensus to the bees.

.

What do you seek?

What must you tell me?

This floral smell, so fruity and sweet,

Like all the stories you'd tell me.

.

I smell a perfume,

The floral scent sprays my room.

Grandma is like a flower, one that easily blossoms and goes,

Nothing will destroy the elderly rose.
