Chapter Twenty Eight: Worries and Expectations

Artemis walked down a secret vault which led to a part of the palace no one knew existed except himself. He personally took care of this place himself. The snarl of his sister tore at his heart. It was a primal cry for something lost forever.

"You'll be considered a rogue, Dana," he said to the figure in the cage. He had built a huge cage for her to confine her but he had not bound her because he could not stand tying his sister like some heinous criminal or wild animal.

"Aysun has been plagued with rogues lately. I wonder what made them turn? Did they lose a lover so cruelly like you did?" Artemis asked but all he got was a snarl in response.

"They say there is no cure for the sickness of the heart and even time does not heal all wounds," Artemis continued in a sad voice.

"Would we ever find a cure for you?"
