Chapter Sixty Three: Accusations

Vallus was on his way to the province whose governor had just died when he saw Myrtle enter the shop of the most successful seamstress shop in Aysun. He had discovered recently that the two were friends.

He walked into the shop ignoring the whispers of admiration about his looks and headed straight to her office. He did not knock, he simply pushed the door open.

Leah did not even as much as stir at his rude show of entering her office.

"You!.." he started to say but Leah stopped him.

"How rude. You do not even knock, you walk in as if you own the place," she said without raising her head.

"You and your little cult should stop parading rumours about my father and I," said Vallus with a raised voice. He knew Myrtle was inside somewhere in the office, he wanted her to hear everything he was saying.

"Okay," came the prompt reply. Vallus was bit discomfited by her calmness.
