Without a moment's hesitation, he bolted out of the room, a sense of urgency propelling his movements as he disappeared momentarily, only to return with a jingling set of keys clutched in his trembling hands.</p>

<p>Fumbling with the bunch of keys, his fingers deftly selected one marked with a simple 'V', a key to unlock the door that entrapped Velma. The metallic click of the lock disengaging filled the air as he turned the key, the mechanism giving way with a soft sigh of release.</p>
