Chapter 4: Emperion hunter academy

After getting off the boat they were escorted towards a large building were they were going to be running a ranking test that would determine their ranks and ability level.

Entering the hall like building they were given a tag which contained their numbers which would be called upon when they were to take their test. Kieran had been given the number 68. They would then be called upon in groups of five to hasten the test each group was given an instructor. The instructors were dressed in black and green their uniforms had a military style to it. Each instructor came up and led their group of five out of the training hall to different sections of the academy where their test would be taken.

After a while another instructor had come out she held a tablet in her hands just like the others

"Numbers 66 - 70 come with me " she called out and began walking towards the exit with five people following behind her Kieran included. They walked out of the training hall and continued farther until they were in an open field with different equipment for training in front of them.

"Alright when I call you I want you to come out and give me the following details about yourself, your name, age and ability nothing more and nothing less after you are done walk up to the post and hit it once it will display your score am I clear ?" She asked

"Yes ma'am"

" 66 " she said pointing towards a boy with smooth black hair and icy blue eyes he was taller than the rest of them which made it seem like he was older too.

"My name is Jack Bree I am sixteen and I have an ice ability" he said as he raised his hands shooting out an ice shard that hit the pole as it displayed the number 9. The instructor typed all the information into her tab before bringing out a watch and handing it over to Jack who immediately wore it and went back in line.

" 67 " calling out the next person a silver haired girl walked out she was as tall as Jack been the second tallest person in the group.

"My name's Emma Brown I am sixteen and my ability falls under the healing types" she said as she made a fist and hit the pole gaining a score of four. Typing in the information the instructor handed her a watch which she put on also.

" 68 " hearing his number been called Kieran walked out front

"Kieran Blake am sixteen " Kieran replied as he walked up to the pole getting ready to hit it

" Ability!! " The instructor grunted out already annoyed

" None " Kieran replied with a look that said ' ' ' wasn't it obvious I don't have any you had to let me say it myself '

"You don't have an ability "

"Hmph go on then " she said as she held her tablet and continued to type away not paying any attention any more.Which annoyed Kieran as he hit the pole with all his strength getting a score of five. Seeing the score he got the instructor typed it in and reluctantly handed him his watch it was pretty obvious that she looked down on him because he didn't have an ability but Kieran didn't mind that he cause nothing was going to stop him from becoming a hunter not even the fact that he didn't have an ability and now that he gained the system he was going to grow his strength and continue to level up and one day he was going to pay them back all those who looked down on him he was going to gain strength beyond what they could ever dream off and then he will pay them back for mocking and looking down on him.

" 69 " she called out already annoyed at the last performance as a brown haired boy walked out

"My name is Nathan Well am fifteen my ability is wood creation" he said in a squeaky voice as he was a bit shy due to how he was shaking as he walked up to the pole and hit it gaining a score of five also

"Hmph" she sighed as she handed him his watch

"70"

"Eve Somberland, fifteen, energy manipulation" should said as she walked up to the pole making a fist as her hands started to glow a bright white light as she threw her fist at the pole bringing her score up to twenty. Seeing the score the instructor was amazed at such a high score as everyone in the team had only gotten scores below ten the instructor proceeded to input the score and hand her the watch.

"Alright tap the button at the side of the watch it will display your rank and ability level the watch would also be used as a medium of transactions while you're here as your weekly allowances will be sent to the watch we would be heading back now" she said as she began walking back towards the training hall as they all pressed the button at the side of their watches it displayed their ranks and ability levels.

Jack Bree - Rank F, level 4

Emma Brown - Rank F , level 3

Kieran Blake - Rank F , level 1

Nathan Well - Rank F , level 4

Eve Somberland - Rank F, level 5

Upon getting back they were given room keys and assigned roommates along with the Emperion hunter academy uniform before been lead to the dorms.
