Azrael's sly smirk played across his lips, and he mumbled, "What a truly lovely sight." Corwin gasped, meeting Azrael's gaze with wide eyes, furrowing his eyebrows in immediate response to the muffled aggression emanating from his covered mouth.

Unperturbed by Corwin's curses, Azrael, with an air of indifference, asserted, "We have a mission to complete; that's why I'm granting you freedom. Under normal circumstances, I would leave you in there to suffocate to death." The weight of his words hung in the air.

Azrael retracted his claws and approached, capturing Corwin's widened eyes. Crouching down, he deftly removed the gag with his claws, and Corwin conjured air from thin air and released it, breathing in deeply.
