Faye's POV
For the first time, Liam walked with me through the campus of Silver Moon University.
Though we had both worked and studied here, various reasons had kept us from appearing together publicly.
Especially like now, holding hands for everyone to see.
I could feel the scrutiny of everyone around us, and it made me a bit uncomfortable. Not because of anything else, but because the person beside me was the most popular professor in the entire school.
It wasn't surprising then that many of the girls looked at me with eyes as sharp as knives.
Liam, however, was unfazed. He was confident and unbothered, like an unbreakable shield deflecting all the malicious stares.
Even after facing off against so many people in the conference room, his mood was unaffected. In the breeze, Liam pulled me along, first walking briskly, then gradually breaking into a run.
Under countless gazes, we crossed the teaching buildings, hallways, and ran through a small forest, across the lawn.
