The irritation had all turned into awkwardness after entering Nicholas's ward.


In the ward, Zheng Qing and the others saw the gifts Jiang Yu had brought—including a well-made frog skin drum, several frog bone talismans, and a bracelet strung with dried frog eyeballs, adorned with beautiful runes.


The other young wizards in the room eyed these two gifts, full of contemplation and doubt.


Unlike the somewhat awkward young scholarship students, Jiang Yu behaved quite naturally. She stood unabashedly with Zheng Qing in the corner of the ward and even found the mood to chat with the boys.


"How is it?" The witch glanced at the boy sideways and asked softly, "Are you adjusting well?"
