Chapter - 83 - Weight Loss Acupuncture

After washing her hair, Tang Li ran her fingers through the dry tresses. They felt far from the softness and freshness she usually enjoyed after shampooing. She couldn't help but miss the comforting sensation of using her beloved shampoo.

Using soap just didn't cut it.

She consoled herself, deciding to bear with it. After hastily drying her hair and wrapping it in a towel, she headed to the kitchen door and inquired, "Is the water ready?"

"...It'll be ready shortly," replied Yi Minghuan. He looked up at her momentarily but then quickly averted his gaze when he noticed that the collar of her clothes was open due to her recent hair-washing. His voice was dry as he added, "You can go inside; I'll bring you the water."

"Thank you," Tang Li expressed her gratitude and turned to fetch two basins of cold water to keep aside for him. She then returned to the house and retrieved the only set of clean clothes she had.

A while later, Yi Minghuan entered the room with two basins of hot water. He closed the door behind him and left without looking at her.

"What's the matter with this man? He's been acting so strange since we came back!"

Tang Li, somewhat puzzled by his recent behavior, stared at the closed door. She couldn't help but wonder if she had unintentionally offended him.

However, when she thought about it further, she realized that Yi Minghuan had indeed been quite considerate, fetching her from town, boiling water, and helping her with everything she needed.

Upon reflection, Tang Li decided to let go of her concerns. It was too early to be worried about such trivial matters. They had only met recently, and their temperaments were still adjusting to each other. There were many facets of their interactions left to explore and understand.

Her primary concern remained her own body and the goal of losing weight!

Tang Li lowered her head and looked at herself with a depressed face. The circles of fat squeezed out by squatting down really affected her mood too much!

'Out of sight, Out of mind!'

After her quick shower, Tang Li dried herself, donned her clothes, and released her partially dried hair.

She opened the door, removed the water basins, and noticed the wet mud floor beneath her. Nevertheless, she didn't fret about it; the mud floor would dry up in due course.

Tang Li emptied the water and strolled over to the kitchen door. When she saw Yi Minghuan reading by the kerosene lamp, she couldn't help but pause and gaze at him in silence.

The dim light cast an alluring sheen on his already handsome features, making him look even more captivating and seductive.

"Go to bed first," Yi Minghuan advised, stealing a glance at her before lowering his head. A stoic expression on his face as he muttered, "I'll sleep later."

Tang Li heeded his advice without uttering a word. She returned to her room, fetched her acupuncture needles, laid down on her bed, exposed her abdomen by raising her top, and began the process of self-acupuncture.

The acupoints used for acupuncture weight loss are typically located on the abdomen, legs, and feet, and can be manipulated by an individual.

Tang Li pricked herself carefully, revealing a significant part of her body as she went about the process.

It took a great deal of concentration to administer acupuncture to oneself. As she continued with the procedure, she paid little heed to her surroundings.

Thus, when Yi Minghuan entered the room around 20 minutes later to sleep, she failed to hear the sound of him walking in.

"What are you doing!?" he suddenly exclaimed in shock, causing her to jump. He had been reading in the kitchen for about half an hour, and he expected her to have slept by then.

However, upon entering the room and seeing her mostly undressed, needles puncturing her skin, he was taken aback.

"Don't speak yet," Tang Li managed to say through gritted teeth. She was in the middle of pulling out a needle, when her hand shook, and it was quite painful....
