Rabbit Tyson & more trials

Chapter 5 Rabbit Tyson & more trials

Lucian stood in the middle of the clearing, catching his breath as the last puff of smoke from a defeated rabbit dissipated into the air. He glanced around, counting the defeated enemies. "Nine down… Where's the tenth?"

A deep rumbling growl broke the silence. From the shadows of the forest, a massive rabbit emerged, standing taller and bulkier than any of the others. Its muscles rippled under its fur, but what truly caught Lucian's attention was the tiny golden crown perched atop its head.

Lucian blinked in disbelief. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me… Is that a crown?"

The system chimed in.

Demon Rabbit King Punch: A devastating punch that can shatter small boulders.

Tyson Fury: A rapid barrage of punches delivered with unmatched speed and ferocity.

Mega Grow: Temporarily increases size and power.

Low Jab & High Jab: Precision strikes aimed to disorient and injure opponents.

Lucian swallowed hard. "Damn."

The Rabbit King stood motionless for a moment, then cracked its knuckles—a gesture that shouldn't have been possible for a rabbit—and settled into a perfect boxing stance. Its sharp, focused eyes locked onto Lucian, who instinctively raised his flaming fists.

"You want to go, champ?" Lucian muttered, trying to steady his nerves.

The Rabbit King didn't wait. It lunged forward with shocking speed, throwing a low jab aimed directly at Lucian's stomach. He barely sidestepped, the force of the blow sending a gust of wind past him.

Lucian retaliated with a wide punch coated in white flames, but the Rabbit King ducked effortlessly and countered with an uppercut that connected with Lucian's jaw.

"Gah!" Lucian stumbled back, his vision blurring for a second.

The Rabbit King didn't relent, activating Tyson Fury. A flurry of punches rained down on Lucian, each strike faster and heavier than the last. He barely managed to block a few with his forearms, the flames on his fists flickering under the onslaught.

"This guy's insane!" Lucian gritted his teeth, feeling the impact of each blow reverberate through his body.

The Rabbit King suddenly activated Mega Grow, its muscles bulging grotesquely as it towered over Lucian. With a guttural roar, it unleashed a massive Demon Rabbit King Punch, aimed straight at Lucian's chest.

Lucian's instincts kicked in. He raised both hands, summoning a blazing shield of white flames to intercept the blow. The punch connected, sending shockwaves through the forest. Trees shook, and the ground beneath them cracked.

Lucian was pushed back several feet, his arms trembling from the impact. "Alright, you little tyrant… Let's see how you handle this."

He charged forward, flames igniting around his fists as he activated his own fire Strike. His fists became engulfed in roaring white flames as he delivered a powerful punch aimed at the Rabbit King's chest.

The Rabbit King blocked with both arms, but the force sent it skidding backward.

Lucian didn't let up. He weaved through the Rabbit King's counters, landing a flaming uppercut that scorched its jaw. The Rabbit King retaliated with a spinning kick—a move so absurdly nimble for its size that Lucian barely dodged it, feeling the air pressure graze his face.

The fight continued In a brutal exchange of blows, each side refusing to back down.

Finally, the Rabbit King faltered, breathing heavily. Lucian seized the moment, channeling all his remaining strength into one final attack.

"Let's end this!" he roared, his fists glowing brighter than ever as he launched a double-fisted flaming strike straight at the Rabbit King's chest.

The impact created a burst of light and heat, and the Rabbit King let out a final screech before disintegrating into smoke.

Who am I kidding this will be fun . I have been given a chance to grow strong from my weak former self " he muttered to him self

"A system " Lucian called out

"For what host , I haven't done anything" the system replied .

"You haven't done anything yet but am glad I can change my fate and become stronger "

"Sorry host but I don't plan on making you stronger but omniscient " the system replied

Lucian was dumbstruck by the system blut and straight forward reply but was still confused " Omniscient, like a God well you clearly said you take me to Godhood , how am I not shocked jeezs anyways brings out the monster I got a lotta energy to let out and skill to try "

" I would advise the host to reserve his energy because it's gonna be a long long fight " the system replied in a cold evilish kinda voice

Lucian felt a shiver on his back with the system reply " why am I really feeling am gonna recreate my decision, don't let me eat my word of thanks back , this not like your gonna be giving me impossible quest right?"

The system didn't reply

"Okay what the heck, are some kinda sadist system, because am taking your silence for a affirmation , sweet fucking Jesus system, I can already feel my body aching in advice "

Lucian sighed "let get on with it shall we, damn "

The air in the next few seconds was humid and stifling, and an acrid, chemical stench assaulted Lucian's nose the moment he stepped inside. The dim light flickered, casting strange shadows on the walls. He gripped his sword, Mediodis, tighter, feeling the faint hum of its latent energy through his hand. Something wasn't right.

The system chimed in his head.

"New encounter detected."

Name: Acidic Dwarf Slimes

Rank: Mid Demon

Description: Humanoid slimes with dwarf-like features. They are made of semi-translucent acid that melts through metal and flesh. Known for their tenacity and teamwork, they are incredibly dangerous in groups.

Abilities:

Acid Spray: Launches streams of corrosive acid capable of melting armor.

Split Form: When struck, they divide into smaller, faster versions of themselves.

Toxic Cloud: Emits a choking cloud of acidic mist.

Objective: Eliminate the Acidic Dwarf Slimes without succumbing to their corrosive attacks.

Lucian groaned, glaring at the murky depths of the chamber. "You've got to be kidding me... A slime army?!"

Before he could process the situation further, the slimes began to emerge. Their forms were grotesque—dwarf-like torsos made entirely of oozing, semi-liquid acid, their arms ending in dripping claws. They moved with an eerie coordination, their hollow, glowing eyes fixed on him.

One of them let out a guttural gurgle before spewing a jet of acid straight at Lucian.

"Tch!" He dove to the side, narrowly avoiding the spray as it hit the floor, sizzling and releasing a putrid smell. Lucian cursed under his breath as he swung Mediodis in a wide arc, slicing cleanly through the closest slime.

For a moment, it seemed like a clean hit. But then the creature quivered, splitting into two smaller versions of itself.

"Great. They multiply," Lucian muttered, eyeing the growing numbers.

Two smaller slimes lunged at him, their claws slashing in tandem. He raised Mediodis, parrying one while kicking the other back. Sparks flew from his sword as the acid-coated claws scraped against the blade.

The smaller slime exploded into a burst of acidic mist as it hit the wall. The mist clung to his arm, eating through his sleeve and burning his skin. Lucian gritted his teeth, biting back a scream as the pain seared through him.

"Okay, no more playing around!"

Lucian activated Mediodis's passive ability, Luminous Edge, causing the blade to glow with a brilliant silver light. He dashed forward, slicing through three more slimes in a flurry of strikes. Each one burst into smaller forms, their acidic sprays hissing as they hit the ground.

Suddenly, a larger slime in the back let out a screech, releasing a Toxic Cloud that filled the room. The thick, green mist clung to Lucian's lungs, making him cough violently. His vision blurred, and his body felt heavier as the acid burned his exposed skin.

"Damn it! I can't breathe in this crap!"

He slammed Mediodis into the ground, activating its first skill: Purging Wave. A burst of silver energy rippled outward, pushing the mist back and disintegrating several of the smaller slimes.

But the larger slimes weren't done yet. Two of them lunged at him from opposite sides, their claws glowing with concentrated acid. Lucian sidestepped one, using its momentum to drive it into the other, then spun and slashed through both with a single, fluid motion.

"Split again, I dare you!" he growled.

More slimes emerged from the shadows, their numbers seemingly endless. Lucian was panting now, his body covered in burns and cuts. His energy was draining fast, and every swing of his sword felt heavier.

"I won't let a bunch of acidic blobs take me down!"

He gripped Mediodis with both hands and activated its second ability: Radiant Spiral. The blade began to spin, glowing brighter and brighter until it unleashed a spiraling wave of holy energy that tore through the room. The slimes screeched as the light seared their acidic forms, disintegrating most of them instantly.

When the light faded, the room was silent. Only a few remnants of the slimes remained, writhing weakly on the ground. Lucian staggered, using Mediodis to support himself as he caught his breath.

The system chimed.

"Encounter completed."

Rewards:

400 Faith Points

Acid Core (Rare Material)

Dwarf Slime Essence (Alchemy Ingredient)

Lucian glanced at his burns and torn clothing, wincing as the adrenaline began to wear off.

"Next time, can we just stick to normal monsters? Or maybe give me some acid-proof armor while you're at it?" he muttered, sheathing Mediodis with a sigh.
