The Past, The Present, and The Future

Ingrid closed the window and drew the curtains close, shutting out the moonlight and the mysterious world beyond.

The room plunged into darkness, save for the soft glow of the lamp. Ingrid walked back to her bed, each step laden with a heavy uncertainty that clung to her like an invisible shroud.

Slipping under the blanket, she wished fervently that the unsettling visions were just a nightmare, a figment of her imagination. Yet, deep down, she feared they might unfold like the tragic events at the Lily Palace.

"Are you a deity? A demon? A witch?" Ingrid's whispered questions lingered in the quiet room. She cast her gaze toward the ceiling, as if seeking answers from the very air around her. A bittersweet smile touched her lips. "Why am I seeing these visions? What do you want me to do? What am I going to do when all I see are these small snippets without explanation?"

There was only silence in response.
