The Last Vision (1)

As Ingrid walked along the narrow path, her heart pounded in her chest like a relentless drumbeat. The stone cells lining the sides of the path loomed ominously, their heavy doors had small windows that barely offered glimpses of the darkness within. Ingrid strained her ears against the oppressive silence, but all she could hear were the echoes of distant screams and the haunting cries of anguish that seemed to fill the air.

Like before, there was an inexplicable urge within her to move forward. It felt as though a compass resided within her mind, guiding her toward her destination. Ingrid tightened her grip on her skirt, summoning her resolve as she pressed onward. With each agonizing moment, her steps faltered, yet she persisted.

As Ingrid turned onto a new path, her heart quickened its pace. Ahead, she spotted a door larger than the others, illuminated by light emanating from within.
