Prologue

Many years ago, on a dark July night, when a servant rushed to the nursery upon hearing strange sounds, she witnessed a horrifying scene. The cradles of the newborn prince and princess were empty. Her cries brought everyone who could run to the room, but they found only the prince in one of the worst districts, where someone had heard his cries coming from a well. His sister seemed to have vanished into the earth, and her search efforts yielded no results.

Even when Philip Cortes took it upon himself to search for her. One day, he went to the palace to deliver the grim news to the emperor. There, behind closed doors, everything was leading to a conversation that should have taken place a long time ago. Each of the participants understood this, even the one who should not have been present during this conversation at all, but who had accidentally found himself in the dark corner of the spacious room, attempting to hide his presence, so as not to provoke the emperor's wrath, and even more so wrath of Philip Cortes.

- I promise I will find her, - Philip said coldly, his voice filled with exhaustion.

-First, solve your own problems, and then make promises to me! - the emperor shouted, extremely irritated by the promises of a sick man.

-You know you won't last long enough to find her,  -  told angry emperator, - Your years can be counted on one hand.

- I will do it anyway. Even if I die, my son will finish it, - he shouted, swearing allegiance.

-He hates you, and the three of us know it. My daughter will do it more successfully. At least her father regards her as a human being, - the father replied, appearing seemingly out of nowhere.

- I will kill you and anyone who stands in my way, - Philip said hoarsely, with his terrifying, intimidating voice.

-Aren't you afraid of vengeance? - my father said in my first vision.
