Goodbye and melt

Walking for the next 3 days the trip fought another battle against a horde of goblins, yes a freaking horde, and made it out after killing more than half of them ,Chhan glowed 2 more times during the next 3 days and he could confidently say that it was similar to levelling up now

And Snakeblade and Richard who were noticibly fatigued could only complain on see how Chhan's mysterious skill worked

Richard would say how mysterious and useful it was as it seemed to heal his injuries and fatigue whenever he glowed

Snakeblade however commented on how unfair it was and that he should just fight alone from now, she didn't mean it

And after said 3 days of walking an camping down the stream ,the finally made it out of the dark forest's outskirts and stumbled on a village in the middle of the day, an empty village that was apparently burned down, but luckily was connected to the main road

Chhan looked at the village before him

{ Was this caused by that Dragon Stephen slayed with his group? } " Do you guys know this place ?"

Richard reply with a dry tone

" I don't, it's probably a village that was attacked by the white dragon a few weeks back before it was slayed"

Snakeblade continued his words

" It burned and ravaged many places Saved, anyhow (looks at the main road connected to the village an saw sign board) I guess this is where we part ways "

She turned to Saved and said with a small smile ,Richard simply stared at how Snakeblade treated Saved ,he was bit jealous

" I guess so, (also looked at the road sign that said ' North Kans Village ') I'll have to complete my ques now, what about you guys ".

The 2 looked at eachother for a moment and then replied

Snakeblade :" We'll head back and get even with our ex leader, he needs to get imprisoned atleast "

Richard :" If that what she wishes I'll just help her, (looks at Saved with a bit of respect and worry, the had gotten closer in the past 3 days after all) You take care "

It was a nice feeling, 'Take care' it's been a while ince I heard someone genuinely telling me to 'Take care'

I smiled and replied

" I will ,(looks at Snakeblade) I'm glad you're not blinded by anger and vengeance anymore Snakeblade ".

Snakeblade scratched her head in embarrassment

" Whatever "(Snakeblade)

Chhan :{Looks like she'll be fine}(turned to Richard who seemed a tad displeased) " And Richard,if you wanna get together with this girl ,you should be serious and tease her only occasionally, she's really easy to read if you thread carefully wit- "

" Get GOING YOU ASS!! "

Richard :" (suddenly turned serious and nodded) "

" And why are you nodding? !!!(with embarrassment leaking out of her mask like expression) "

With that I bid them farewell, Snakeblade and Richard left with their goodbyes towards the west, back to Elkana ,and i headed east as told to by Richard in the previous day if we found the main road, following his advice I started going towards the Raven mountains towards the east, walking ffor another day without the rest that I didn't seem to need anymore i finnally saw people on the road again,filled with positive thoughts I made my way towards the Raven mountains and reached there in another one day, the path wasn't that great though

" Is that slime? "

To be precise a frigging slime the size of a house blocked the road ,I could kill it but... I walked around it instead as it didn't attack me ,I sneaked around it after all and looked back at it

" I'll deal with it if it causes problems later "

With that I made my way to the western side of it and got there without much trouble, and indeed the grass there were mostly Aurslane that matched the art on the request paper, but man ,my eyes widened for a moment when I saw such a scene, this place

" What a view "

IS BEAUTIFUL

The flowers between the grass, the breeze the blew the swaying grass under the azure blue sky beneath the 2 suns ,i could see some insects here and there as well, butterfly with glittering wings ,and bees ,and to my surprise they were all normal sized

" Hahaha "

And then I made my way through the grass and began to picked them up and then finnally realised something

" Ah... I forgot {Where am I gonna put them?} "

It was indeed a rather stupid thing to realise now

"{ What should I use as a bag hmm(looked here and there but didn't find anything) }Hmmmm.... okay then I should just hunt and skin a monster and use it's skin to make a pouch I guess ,yes that'll do "

Boom ! Boom ! Boom !

" hmm? "

Feeling the rumbling that came from behind i turned around and saw a giant blue slime humping at my direction, it was nearly at the Aurslane grassland

"...(scrutinized the slime) {Will physical attacks even work against that giant ball of slime?} Let's see "

Tsssh

With that I dashed at the slime and drew my sword out

Boom

Noticing my approach the slime stopped and inflated itself and suddenly glowed as it gathered it's mana on what seemed to be its core and spewed out some type of high pressure acid spray attack, the water it jetted out like a stream that I dodged easily penetrated 5 trees and melted the ground

{ It's the strongest acid I've ever seen that's for sure }

With that aside after it shotted the acid attack it was left wide open, I took the chance and swung my sword in it's jellyish body aiming for the thing that looked like it's core, it was always the weakness of these types of monsters of such a thing was present on their body

And apparently to my fortune physical attack did work on its body as my sword cut it through with no resistance,it was as if the sword was destroying the slime's cell rather cutting it's body and with that in mind I cutted the core that wasn't as hard as i thought

" Yes!! "

Brrr

" huh? "

To my horror

Pop!!

It popped apart and to my fear it's goo engulfed me and pushed me back, it's acidic fluid although much much weaker without the core probably was still strong enough to burn my skin like paper

I howled in aginy as the acid made its way through my epidermis, dermis and then began melting my hypodermis ,blood gushed out like a fountain as I slowly melted

"Aaaaaaaaaa Nooo my face ! Please god No ! Nooooo!! "

It was painful, more painful than anything I've ever felt

{ KILL ME PLEASE ANYONE!!!!! }

Tssssh

" AAAAA..AHH.AHH AA!!(Dropped on my knees) "{ This!!(saw his body glow)Oh thank God, thank God!! }(Fell down face front from relief and exhaustion as the glow got rid of the acid on his body as it regenerated)

The pain slowly went away too as my skin regenerated at rapid rate as my damaged muscles also healed and my face too, feeling completely healed I hurriedly sat back up and touched my now naked self to confirm my state

" Haaaaa ( a tear dropped from my eye ) This...(sniffles)... this sucks "

My sword was fine though
