Therapy Session

Leandro and Astra named the baby boy Tobias with the last name Washington. The couple remained at the hospital for a few weeks until it was okay to bring the baby home. Leandro and Astra decided that even though they had lost their way of morals, they should still stay together as a couple because of the vows they had made to each other. Initially, Leandro wanted to divorce Astra because of her infidelity but then thought of staying married for the baby.

However, Leandro will raise Tobias as his son because he has always wanted to be a dad. Leandro might despise his wife, Astra, but he does not want Tobias to hate her because of her selfish decision. Even though Astra regrets her decision and wishes she had not engaged in infidelity, it is too late to take it all back. It shattered her heart when Leandro told her, "You were my first true love; I would have done everything and everything for you, but your desire destroyed everything we had."

At spontaneous moments, when Astra reflects on what her husband told her, she wails while setting the baby to sleep because baby Tobias reminds her of her fling. Astra wants to find herself again because she has lost herself. She wants to figure out more about what made her want to cheat so she can be genuinely happy again and not have to fake her emotions. Astra wants to attend a Christian couple's therapy session so she and her husband can solve their problems.

Astra was researching to find a good Christian counselor to help them with their marriage and walk as Christians again. Astra also wanted a Christian counselor; if they brought up a subject, they would not argue but try to discuss it instead of avoiding the question. Astra does love her husband and does not want to file for a divorce or be separated because of her one mistake. Astra wishes to go back in time and stop herself from cheating on her husband and talk to him so they wouldn't have gotten to this predicament.

When Astra finally discovered what seemed to be a legitimate Christian counselor who would help her and her husband with their marital issues and their walk as Christians again, she contacted the number. While Astra talked to the Christian counselor, she wanted to make sure it was legitimate and not a scam because she believed in her heart she could save her marriage. Astra asked when she could schedule an appointment and where the location was. Once she received a day and a time, Astra hung up the phone and called Leandro so they could go together. At first, Leandro was against the concept of seeing the Christian counselor because if Astra could cheat once, she could do it again. Ultimately, Leandro decided it was worth discovering if the therapy session could help save their marriage.

Their first session was on a Tuesday morning. It happened to rain heavily this Tuesday at 9:30 am, and traffic was horrendous because someone got in a car accident for going fast and lost control of their light blue Nissan Z sport car. The Nissan Z hit a big semi-truck, and the vehicle shattered so that the firefighter, ambulance, and police had to block off a few lanes, and every car had to merge into the open road. Astra and Leandro were almost late, but luckily, they called the counselor and explained what had occurred. The counselor told them that the next time something like this happened, they would have to reschedule them because they had another person scheduled for 10:30 am.

The Christian counselor is a woman named Aurora Pearl Storm. Aurora introduced herself, telling Astra and Leandro that this was a safe environment and that no judgment would occur. Aurora's first topic was cheating. Aurora asked what caused Astra to cheat, and the reply was, "Losing our child in my first pregnancy." I didn't know how to reach out to my husband, and I enjoyed the attention I was getting because my husband chose to go to a bar to drink. Now Aurora faced Leandro and asked him why he went to a bar to drink instead of communicating with your wife, who had lost the baby in her stomach. Leandro was at a loss for words because he did not think about what she might be going through. He did not know how to start a conversation with his wife Astra then.

Aurora had to end her session but asked them to come twice weekly. Their days are Tuesdays and Fridays morning. Aurora told Leandro, "I want an answer from the heart in our next session." Leandro and Astra drove home silently because it seemed too much for them. When they arrived home, their babysitter said that Tobias had been put to sleep and that they should not make loud noises to wake the kiddo up. Astra and Leandro went to their separate rooms to shower and sleep since Tobias was sleeping. Astra and Leandro are awakened by a scream from Tobias, who is crying. Astra and Leandro rush to the baby's room, but when they get there, he is sleeping. The strange thing they found was that the window was open because it was closed.

The next day, Astra and Leandro brought a baby monitor and cameras for their home. Astra was scared that someone might harm her child because she did not want to be in another position where she might do something she might regret. Even though Tobias reminds her of her affair, that is still her baby boy, who she loves and does not want any harm going to him. Astra does not want Tobias to hate her if he finds out Leandro is not his biological son because he is a great father who is there for him and her even when he does not have to.

The following day, Leandro watched the baby monitor and camera footage to see if he had heard or seen anything strange. Nothing happened, but Leandro and Astra heard a woman's voice on the baby monitor that sounded like Aurora every night. The video footage didn't show anything. Are Leandro and Astra scared because they do not know if they are losing their minds? When Friday came for their second session of therapy, they spoke to Aurora and told her, "We hear a voice that sounds like yours every night, and we are scared to death."

Aurora said, "If you hear that voice again, pray to God and get a priest to bless the house." Now, Leandro, do you have an answer for me from our last session?

Leandro answered, "I failed my wife Astra because I did not know how to start a conversation about losing our baby. I should have comforted her with my love and affection."

Astra and Leandro's therapy sessions worked for a few years. Tobias is no longer a baby but a teenager who wants independence. At the moment, Tobias values his parents since he does not know that Leandro is not his biological father yet. About one year ago, Astra and Leandro discovered that Aurora was a spirit they could only see. They had found that when they were going to their first meeting of therapy, a couple was speeding in a blue Nissan Z, and it happened to Aurora and her husband, who died in a car accident. Astra and Leandro cannot decide if Aurora is an evil spirit who wants to torment them because of their past or an entity who wants to help them overcome their problems.

Astra and Leandro decided that since Tobias is older, he should learn the truth about them and their past. Even though Astra and Leandro love each other, they cannot overcome their struggle even with the lessons they learned from their therapy session. Astra tried everything to show Leandro she was remorseful of cheating, but Leandro could not take the fact that Tobias was not his blood, which made them have more disputes than before.

Astra and Leandro decided to stay legally married but separated, living with their partners in the same house. They bought a big house because they planned to have a big family of their own, but that plan changed. They forget that a decision like this could affect Tobias in a significant way, but they forget what the consequences can be because now they are living with their lustful desire. Tobias did not know how to process their parents living with other people because his classmates had normal parents who had been together for years. Tobias' classmate had made fun of him because he was a child born of an affair instead of his parents.
