Alisha Chuma (POV)

I respectfully looked at the woman who had changed my life so greatly that in my eyes, she was truly the epitome of greatness.

“Mama, it’s been a while!” I smilingly said as I made myself comfortable, my eyes not showing any sort of fear towards her.

How could I fear her when I have already passed the stage of doing something silly like that?

Mama smiled at me as she watched me sit without restrictions.

After sitting on a smaller futon opposite her cross-legged, I looked eagerly at her as I questioned, “How have you been all this while?”

“As you can see, life is treating me well and yourself?” she asked me.

Smiling brightly at her as if I were a child who was seeking praise, I began to tell her about all the wonderful things that had happened to me in the time that we hadn’t sat together for a one-on-one session.
