CHAPTER 61

Alaine Sawyer (POV)

Years quickly flew by; I never felt sick again, but I never saw my mother again.

I overheard one day that she had given birth to a son and, knowing that; I was so furious that I hated everyone.

It was around that time that I officially started going black. My mother didn’t care about me but her legitimate son, so why should I be a good child?

Fortunately, my grandmother was always there and kept on brainwashing me about how my mother was a very good mother and so forth.

But that B.S., I never believed it.

I finally turned twelve and at that age, I had all my future planned out for me. I wanted to get very rich, so rich that when my mother saw me in the future, she would have to humble herself in front of me.

From there on, I started working extra hard. I wanted to prove to everyone, and especially to my mother, that I was much better than that son of hers.
