EPILOGUE 2

PRESENT TIME

Alaine Sawyer (POV)

I couldn’t help but smile relievedly as I watched how she ignored that son she raised for over two decades.

Although I knew that she didn’t care about him anymore, my heart was still not at ease. After all, I was someone with trust issues and confidence issues when it came to anything related to my mother.

However, seeing how she was playing with her current favorite boys, I raised and groomed perfectly just for her pleasure, and how she didn’t care about how infuriated Leo was as he sat on the other table with that long-term lover of his, a smile blossomed on her face.

Sitting next to me was my beloved wife. After so many years, I finally married someone. A little girl whose appearances were 30 to 40 percent of that of my mother when she was young.

I couldn’t be blamed for this. Although I grew up hating my mother, at some stage in life, I grew to love her so much.
