More time passed by since the restoration of the Border Patrol Office's surveillance at the void.

During this time, the technology was refined and improved upon even more. Now, it wouldn't be wrong to say that the Border Patrol Office would be alerted for any movement of the void a thousand miles away from the established entrances.

Actually, this distance was still a bit short. The void could give one an impression of being boundless, especially with its ever-changing form and strangeness; it becomes worse the closer one gets to the heart of the void.
