Time passed before they knew it and the sun had almost fully set, creating darker shadows across the construction site. The workers began to gather their tools their faces etched with fatigue but a sense of accomplishment remained.

Mei Xing, her own body ached from hours spent over plans, discussing details, standing and walking in high-heeles shoes.

Despite that, Mei Xing felt a deep satisfaction course through her.

To her, this wasn't just a building rising from the ground. It was a growing product of her vision and her dedication.

Climbing down from a platform, she thanked the contractor for his cooperation. "See you tomorrow, architect Mei Xing," he said with a nod. "And keep those brilliant ideas coming."

"I will."

As Mei Xing walked towards where she kept her bag and coat, she pulled her hair out of the tight grip of the elastic band, running her palm through it to straighten it out, feeling the sweat on her brow.
