'If only you knew how reliable he was to Feng Houyi,' Mei Xing spoke in her mind.

"You were given the position of acting CEO to restore the company to its former glory, not to make it even worse!" he bellowed, his voice hoarse from exertion.

"I'm utterly disappointed in you at this moment. You better start rectifying your wrongs."

Mei Xing listened patiently, her silence a stark contrast to her father's rising anger and words. Finally, when he sputtered to a stop, she spoke. "You will see the benefits of my decisions soon, Mr Luo. Have a good day."

Mei Xing heaved a sigh as she ended the call. She still couldn't believe how shallow-minded her father was.

He didn't even ask why she did all she did. He just delved in to question her and express his disappointment at her.

"I can't wait to be done with them," she whispered as she delved back to work.
