Mei Xing knew Lu Aotian was right. The men's presence had shattered whatever sense of security she had left. Just when she thought things weren't going to get any worse than the previous week.

When they got to the apartment, Yi Chuhua wasn't there. Mei Xing called and informed her of the occurrence.

"What? That's crazy," Yi Chuhua exclaimed. "You can't stay there all by yourself."

They talked a little and Mei Xing got to know that Mrs Yi, Yi Chuhua's mother was down with an ailment and Mr Yi was away on a business trip.

When Mei Xing ended the call, a sigh left her lips. She turned to Lu Aotian and found him staring at her. Her eyes trailed to his arm and she gasped.

The bruise was turning awfully purple and black. She got some ice, wrapped them in a napkin and went to him.

"Let's put some ice on that," she said.
