While Lu Aotian and Jinhai were away, Yuxi and her husband remained at the penthouse with Mei Xing. Yuxi was anxiously waiting for the outcome of things, her mind a whirlpool of worry and fear.

"Do you think they can get whoever they were going to meet to talk? What if he doesn't say anything and we still can't find the mastermind behind this whole charade? Then everything would be for nought. My sister got hurt for nothing," Yuxi sobbed, her voice trembling with desperation.

Tang Jietang sighed deeply, trying to hide his own concern as he rubbed her arm in comfort. "It's not all in vain, Yuxi. At least the man who harmed her will pay dearly. I don't think Jinhai would let him go without a scratch."
