Day 17: The Final Farewell

Dear Diary,

As I write these words, I can feel the shadows of the world closing in around me. The weight of grief, loss, and despair has become too much to bear. Today, I take my leave from this world, for there is no tomorrow left for me.

The pain of losing my parents and, most recently, my dear David has left me shattered, a mere shell of the person I once was. Their memories, like fading echoes, are all I have left to hold onto.

With a heavy heart, I make my way to the ruins of our former home, the place where our lives were irrevocably changed. It is a desolate landscape of ashes and broken dreams.

As I stand amidst the remnants of what was once our sanctuary, I find solace in the thought that I will soon be reunited with my family. The pain of our separation will finally come to an end.

With a final, bittersweet smile, I close my eyes, and the darkness envelops me.

The story ends here, Diary, as I join my loved ones in whatever comes next.

Farewell,

Michael Turner
