Shu Guan respectfully greeted the young Daoist named Sang Liren.

Sang Liren carefully looked at Shu Guan's face for a moment, then said with relief:

"That's better, much more pleasant than last time."

After that, the young Daoist stopped joking around and solemnly saluted Shu Guan in return, without any negligence.

"Greetings, Seventh Junior Brother."

"Alright, Sixth Senior Brother, you may continue to guard the mountain gate. Seventh Junior Brother, come with me to meet the other senior brothers and sisters."

Mu Yao led Shu Guan forward, with Sang Liren's cheerful laughter echoing behind them.

"Sixth Senior Brother must be happy to have someone else sharing the gatekeeping duties now."

Mu Yao explained this to Shu Guan.

Shu Guan uttered a sound of understanding.

The two of them walked toward the lake on the grass dampened by the morning dew, feeling a soft sensation underfoot.
