Chapter 46: A Lost Dog

The man, who bore a somewhat familiar face with misaligned eyebrows and eyes, retreated into the alleyway at the sight of Shu Guan approaching.

Yet Shu Guan kept his pace and carried on towards him.

When Shu Guan reached the mouth of the alleyway, he found the man waiting for him inside.

"Are you… Lord Shu?"

The man scrutinized Shu Guan with a hesitant gaze, his voice uncertain.

"Indeed, I am Shu Guan."

Shu Guan remembered him clearly. It was this very man who had tried to harass Zhang Yadan, subsequently leading to a confrontation with Meng Huibao, whom he had encountered for the first time.

Upon Shu Guan's confirmation, the man's face lit up with relief and he repeatedly affirmed,

"I knew it was you, Lord Shu. I saw you on the street earlier and wanted to approach you, but then those fellows from the Tianhu Sect arrived and I had to retreat here."
