Chapter 80: Extreme Surprise

The piercing scream echoed in the room.

Unfortunately, this was an underground chamber, and no one would be able to hear the little black cat's cries even if it screamed its lungs out.

Sensing the danger, the little black cat struggled desperately, trying to escape from the embrace of the skinny middle-aged man.

But it was a futile struggle, for although the man looked frail, he had just lifted a hundred-pound oil barrel with one hand.

In this underground chamber, cat heads were hung all around the walls, and a rectangular wooden table was placed in the middle. The table was stained with blood, with bits of flesh still sticking to it, and a sharp, horn-tipped knife lay on it.

The middle-aged man carried the little black cat and walked towards the table.

When he reached the table, he grabbed the cat by its neck, holding it up to his eyes. With his other hand, he brought a cup full of sesame oil to his lips and poured it into his mouth.
