Chapter 17: Slaying the Dragon Bridge - Part 2

The broken stone strip was the closest to the river, and it was clear that it used to be a large rock, which had been smashed and shattered into small stone fragments and stone powder.

This was also the only broken stone strip that the strange old man had not searched.

The strange old man crouched down once again before this pile of stone fragments, and it was now the time of the setting sun. The sunlight sprinkled on the desolate stony beach, reflecting off the smooth pebbles, making it slightly dazzling.

As the strange old man flicked his palm among the pile of stone fragments, a bright light burst out from between the stones, much brighter than the sunlight reflected by the surrounding pebbles.

The strange old man suddenly paused, then quickly inserted his entire palm into the pile of stone fragments. When he withdrew his hand, he was holding a fist-sized, extremely round, black scale.
