Chapter 46: The Monk Who Became a Thief (Part 3)

The young monk looked at the wooden bead in Shu Guan's palm with a somewhat astonished expression.

However, his astonishment wasn't directed at the wooden bead itself, but rather that the young man in front of him had been able to approach him without being noticed by him.

"I have a few friends in Buddhism, so I know a bit about Buddhist matters."

Shu Guan continued with a smile:

"I notice that the Buddha beads on your chest have a total of thirty-five beads. In Buddhism, prayer beads usually have eighteen, thirty-six, or one hundred and eight beads. Adding my bead makes it just right."

The young monk hesitated for a moment before speaking to Shu Guan.

"Master, may I first finish distributing the porridge today?"

Shu Guan smiled and nodded, standing to one side.

Those behind him continued to kneel down in front of the temple, bowing to the young monk, then went to the side to receive their porridge.
