Chapter 99: It Wasn't Me

A quiet courtyard, an ancient old pine.

Under the old pine stood a stone table, on which rested a pot of clear tea and two rustic white porcelain teacups.

Li Changqing and a gaunt, fresh-faced old man sat opposite each other.

"Master Zheng, Li Changqing has taken the liberty of visiting today. I hope Master Zheng won't take offense."

Li Changqing said apologetically to the fresh-faced old man.

The fresh-faced old man stroked his beard and laughed loudly:

"For Fairy Li to visit my Zheng Family today is nothing but an honor that makes my humble abode shine. There's no offense to speak of."

He picked up the teapot and poured a cup of tea for Li Changqing.

The fragrance of tea instantly filled the courtyard.

Li Changqing looked at the tea leaves in the teacup, emerald green like jade, twirling in the boiling hot water as if they were living fish. She raised her eyebrows and asked in surprise:

"Could this be spiritual tea?"
