Chapter 73: Origin

Wang Zijia raised his hand, and as spiritual power fluctuated, a red firelight emerged. He threw a superficially burning fireball down the hole, illuminating the underground space below.

After seeing the situation below, Wang Zijia was entirely stunned.

Under the courtyard was not an underground palace, but rather a vast space, resembling a deep well. Inside was a pitch-black liquid of an unknown substance, thick like a muddy swamp, constantly churning.

As it churned, faint glimmers of infant skulls could be seen, along with child corpses that hadn't fully decomposed, bobbing in the sticky liquid. It formed a swamp-like underground space.

In the center of the swamp was a circular stone platform, roughly ten square units in size, like a central pillar in this underground marshland.

At the top of the platform, there was what looked like a strange altar, covered in Runes with a faint spiritual light coursing through them.
