Chapter 49: Appealing to the Mountain God

"Such disdain for demons!"

As the vast golden light floating above the mountain's lake dissipates, the enormous white snake that has been suppressed for nine days straight, unable to move, rears half of its body and roars skyward.

The lake stirs with its enraged roar, the mountains encircling the lake tremble slightly, and the clouds lingering around the peaks gather. The previously bright sky quickly darkens. A storm is imminent, the Yin Wind gusts.

This demonstrates the power of a great demon; their thoughts alone can manipulate celestial phenomena!

Nevertheless, even such a terrifying demon is filled with rage. It was made a fool of by a mere wolf demon, forced to look on helplessly as the latter consumed the Spirit Fruits from the ancient tree it had occupied.

Although those fruits were merely occasional snacks it enjoyed, the actions of the wolf demon were undoubtedly an insult, a blatant mockery.
