I returned at the exact moment Mona and I were in the middle of discussing divorce.

NEOMA immediately checked her face in the mirror as soon as Aunt Nichole was done applying first aid on the burn on her left cheek and left arm.

It looked like it was just a first-degree burn, and it didn't hurt that much.

She only screamed earlier because she panicked.

But now that she was calm, she thought she overreacted.

Both her left cheek and left arm were red, but thankfully, there were no blisters.

Fortunately, the tea wasn't boiling hot.

[It stings a bit, but I can handle the pain. It's kinda how I felt when I got sunburned when we were in Maldives and I forgot to put on sunscreen.]

"It's not so bad," Neoma said, satisfied. "It just looks like I got sunburn…"

She trailed off when she realized that her companions were quiet while looking at her in disbelief.

Aunt Nichole looked like she was about to cry.
