Relationships

Seeing the open display of ownership, Micheal drew in his breath.

"What had happened here, no one should report this to Mr. Clein." Micheal said to the surrounding staff, and everyone nodded...

"Including you, Silvia." He said to the only one who refuted his words. She gritted her teeth but still nodded her head in agreement. After all was settled, Micheal went back to his office, and Silvia was given first aid from one of her female co-workers since the cut wasn't at all deep to require a hospital.

...

Aiden had paid for the clothes kai had selected while still knowing fully well that Micheal would send the money back to his account, but there was nothing he could do about it. The clothes were moved to the car by the workers after.

When they got into the car, Aiden didn't turn on the engine and just stared at the one who got in beside him. The smile Aiden had on ever since they were inside the store hadn't left his face even once... Maybe his mistake confession had taken a good toll on the merman to be more devoted to him, and indeed, he was happy about it.

When Kai noticed that they were sitting idle in the car without moving, he turned to Aiden, with questioning eyes but instead, he felt his heart skip a beat when his eyes met with Aidens intense gaze yet smiling face. He quickly averted his gaze out the tinted window as he felt his face burn hot. This reaction just made Aiden fall for the merman even more than he already did.

Honestly, happiness couldn't even describe what he was feeling at this point while staring at the merman... kai had gotten jealous over him.

Their relationship had already gone this far, even on their first day of being together! This thought alone was enough to have Aiden singing and skipping while walking on the streets.

"Hey, kai--"

"I'm sorry... I am wrong." Kai said, surprising Aiden. Was he feeling bad? Thought Aiden.

Not wanting his other half to feel depressed, Aiden leaned over to kai, using his index finger, he turned the boys head so he could look at him and gently pressed his lips against his softly, slipping his tongue in but careful not to get too deep to the point of no return.

He broke off their kiss so the other could catch his breath and pressed their foreheads together,

"I'm not angry with you... you did well." Aiden praised, earning a small smile from the other. He sat back up and heaved a sigh before he continued,

"But don't go attacking everyone... it doesn't leave a good impression on them, I told you before that not everyone is a threat to you. There are good and bad people, you can attack the bad people but not the good ones."

Kai rose a brow. He carefully phrased his words in his head before he asked, "How do I know people who are bad?"

Aiden thought of an easy and understandable way of enlightening the merman, "Well... they look all suspicious and are usually up to no good, and they attack good people with force even if they don't want to do what they are told."

"Like when Aiden pulled me out of the sea."

Kai said, and Aiden felt the arrow of his words pass through his chest. He laughed nervously.

"We can go to the sea if you want to." Aiden forced himself to say, hoping the boy would refuse and to his luck, the boy shook his head. If anything, he was quite glad he didn't want to.

He inserted the car key in its place and turned on the engine,

"Kai."

"Hmm?"

"Don't go taking someone's life, I won't bail you out if you did." He wouldn't bail him out because he would end up going to prison with him too. Nevertheless, Aiden warned with a straight face so the other would take it seriously, and Kai nodded.

Speaking of prison and the authorities, Aiden realised that he needed to get the merman an ID just in case he was pulled over by a cop who would demand it.

After the store, they had gone to their next stop, which was a hair salon to get Kai's hair trimmed. The boys blonde strands fell down to the spot just above his waist which was quite an exaggeration for a boy but then again, he was from the sea and obviously the merpeople did not have a mechanism for cutting hair.

Even though Kai wasn't satisfied with this decision since he actually loved the long length of his hair, he still agreed to it.

He had it cut to his shoulder length and treated so that the bright blonde sheen came out even more. It was then styled in a side partition with his side bangs cut short and falling over his face... the hair was everything and Aiden couldn't get enough of the look since it fit the boys' oval face so perfectly.

By the time they were done, it was already evening and Aiden couldn't phantom how he had not slept two days in a row. His head was hurting and he couldn't wait to get back home.

Kai sulked all the way home, still mourning his hair that was cut so short.

When they got back to the house, Aiden carried all the shopping bags until Martha helped him out when he got into his home.

Upon entry, Martha's super human senses heightened and she gasped,

"Aiden! You ate out!"

Aiden broke into a cold sweat wondering whether it was because the woman was getting old that all her senses were now super heightened and she could smell the slightest thing,

"I never told you I ate out," Aiden shrugged, trying to brush off the matter, but Martha was having none of it,

"Don't you lie to me, young man, I can smell the steak on the both of you." She directed a sharp yet motherly gaze to Kai as she scolded them,

"Sorry Martha, Kai got a little hungry on the way, so we had to stop by a restaurant." Aiden confessed

"Well, I don't care how stuffed you both are, I prepared dinner. As punishment, you both are going to finish everything I prepared." She said as she made her way up the stairs to keep the things that Aiden had brought. She didn't bother opening it and just left the bags on the bed before going back downstairs.

"Go take a shower, both of you, and come to the table when you're done." Instructed the older woman while pushing Aiden towards the bathroom downstairs originally for the guests.

"Wait... Martha..." Aiden whined, glancing back at the merman who stood there giggling softly, entertained by the scene acting out in front of him,

"Martha, can Kai and I shower together?"

"No, Aiden, Kai is a grown boy who can take care of himself and also needs his privacy." She refused and successfully pushed the young master into the bathroom, swiftly shutting the door with a dull thud upon his entry.

"Take your bath, young sir!"

She turned to face Kai, who stood with his hands behind his back and a smile on his face. It was then she noticed his new look

"You cut your hair... It's so pretty."

Cooed Martha.

"Ahh, I got something for you..." She chimed, rushing to the kitchen cupboard, she took out the pack of sweets she had gotten and took two out,

"See, I got you sweets." When she turned to the merman, she saw him ogling at the candy in her hand. She took off the wrapper and handed it to Kai, who took it gladly and immediately stuffed it into his mouth.

He remembered that Aiden had really not given him the one from earlier, so getting one now made him happy.

"Thank you." Kai said with a bright smile, causing the womans heart to flutter... He was adorable.

"After your bath and dinner, I'll give you the second one. Now, go have your bath."

She instructed, and the merman walked past her,

"EHH??! NO NOT THAT ONE! GO UPSTAIRS!" Martha panicked when the boy was about to open the door to the bathroom where Aiden was. Kai tilted his head and stared at her with a confused expression, wondering why he could not shower with the other.

Martha was flustered but still hurried to reply,

"Aiden... h.. he wished to have his own privacy as of now, so he wants to shower on his own. You will meet him when he is done, okay? Now go on upstairs." She stealthily shooed him.

The merman turned gloomy upon hearing this. Martha walked up to him, carefully patting his head,

"Don't be sad, he'll be out in no time... go."

Kai finally went up the stairs to the bathroom.

Martha sighed and went on to set the table for dinner.

..

Kai got into the bathroom and took off his clothes, remembering the procedure Aiden had taught him when bathing. This time, he went to the electric shower and turned on all the buttons, wanting to figure out how it worked, and he was successful.

On the night kai was caught in the net, he was out with his closest friend Lilith to stare at the vast grey skies. Coming up to the surface was originally her idea and since it was so late, he had agreed to it. They had truly not expected such a thing to happen.

When he was pulled out, he did the first thing he thought of, which was trying to hypnotise them.

Every mer-person had something like a magical special ability that varied from each person, and his turned out to be the siren song... a power that allowed him to control the mind of the person who heard his song, but there was a downside to it... he could not manipulate more than three people at a single blow, which was why his singing didn't work then...

Even though he knew this, he still tried doing it.

He wondered how Lilith would be doing now after witnessing him go through something like that, he was fine and adapting but the thought of her hurting hurt the merman.

When he was ready, he would return home and soothe her.
