A tail in the tub

"I told you not to come in!" Yelled the merman, seemingly on edge, but it seemed his words did not get through to the ginger haired man still standing by the doorway.

Kai prayed silently, heart pounding loudly as he hoped that Donovan would not be able to see his tail he had submerged in the tub instinctively when the door had been pushed open.

At this point, he thanked the ginger internally for picking such a large bathroom, so he probably wouldn't be able to see inside of the tub at such a distance.

The scales on his face were shielded by the wet strands of his hair that stuck to his cheek, so hopefully, they weren't visible.

On the gingers end, he had his dark orbs focused on the smoothe pale skin of the person lying in his tub. Somehow, it looked more glistening than usual.
