The Little Fox "hmm"ed contentedly after being well fed and watered and seemed ready for sleep, yawning with fatigue.

Su Zizhan stood up, "You should come with me, you've eaten too much and need to walk it off."

The Little Fox appeared to consider this advice, finding it reasonable, and so it hopped down from the chair and followed Su Zizhan out of his courtyard.

And so, for the first time in forever, Su Zizhan neither rode in a carriage nor on horseback. Since the Marquis of Wuwei's residence was not far from the Eastern Palace, he and the little fox went on foot.

By this time, the sky was already dark, with a faint moonlight. Su Zizhan, in his fiery red figure, and the Little Fox, a small white shadow, became a picturesque scene on the street.

However, as it was a winter evening, there were few pedestrians on the streets, so they didn't cause much of a stir.
