"I really did try my best to move on."
Sheng Xian opened his mouth, but no sound came out; he could clearly feel his shirt soaked with cold sweat.
The police officer beside them had already called for an ambulance, and, seeing that Sheng Xian was still dazed, spoke up, "The ambulance will be here any minute. Does any family member know first aid for outdoor injuries? If you do, stop standing there in a daze and quickly apply some simple first aid to stop the bleeding."
Sheng Xian snapped back to reality and silently bent down to stop her bleeding.
Lu Jingyan noticed Sheng Xian's complexion wasn't looking good and quietly reached out to tug at his sleeve, whispering like a spoiled child, "I called the family doctor ahead of time; he's already on his way. He'll probably arrive about the same time as the ambulance, so I won't be in any danger."
Sheng Xian's hands paused in their task, and he didn't say anything, his expression turning visibly colder.
