Chapter 99

Sarah's POV

"Kill him," I commanded on the phone, my voice barely above a whisper, "or I will kill you. If they save Justin, you'll regret it."

"It seems he needs my help," a familiar voice said from behind.

I turned abruptly, my heart racing as I faced Catherine, my mother-in-law. "What are you doing here?" I demanded, my voice tinged with irritation. "I thought you were long gone. Seeing your face pisses me off."

Catherine regarded me coolly, her gaze piercing. "You've got a lot of guts these days," she remarked, her tone laced with thinly veiled disdain.

"I always have," I retorted, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "If you're here to ruin my day, you can leave. I hate seeing you."

Catherine's lips curled into a disdainful smirk. "I'll cut your wings, Sarah, but not now," she warned, her eyes narrowing. "Have you forgotten who the boss is?"
