Thirteen Modesty

After arriving in Japan, I became a high school student named Kamiyagawa. Looking around—
Hanako crouched in the bathroom, waiting for someone to knock on the door; the Split-Mouth Woman wandered the streets with scissors in hand; Miss Mary's deathly calls echoed incessantly; the wails and barks in Inunaki Village never ceased; the Ubume searched for her long-dead child; the Aoandon smiled, enticing passersby to play with the lanterns of a hundred demons…
In a crumbling world rampant with sinister tales and malevolent spirits, Kamiyagawa set a small goal for himself:
"Defeat all the demons and monsters, and become the supreme ruler of ghosts and deities."

Cicadas chirped and fireflies danced, with the cool breeze of a summer night gently blowing.


This was a perfect spot for enjoying the summer coolness. If paired with half a watermelon on ice or a chilled bottle of otaku water, it would be unbeatable.


Behind the shrine's main hall, there was an area where the resident Shinto priests lived.


In one of those rooms, with the lights still on.


The bedroom was spacious, and the furniture was modern; on the large bed covered with a pink duvet were placed several adorable and slightly ugly plush dolls.


Inside the bedroom, there was also an ensuite with a bathtub.


The little miko was enjoying a soak in it at the moment.


After finishing her day's studies and the demanding training to become a shrine maiden, taking a bath was an immense pleasure.
